I needed a new streaming device since I have a perfectly fine bluray and TV Sony stopped updating streaming software for. Makes the decision for the Roku even easier. Free mobile app is killer too.

I always subscribed from Sept-March...heck I even used to pay $8 a month just for streaming audio only on Yahoo back in the early 00s...but now I'll likely just buy the annual.

Does this mean that the big 12 network isn't happening? Or they are trying to make cyclone tv as good as possible for when the pull most games off of it.

Good question. Even if it's only for a year or two it will be worth it.

I might pay a small monthly rate for some like cyclones.tv if it had lots of classic archives even if there weren't live content. At minimum it would still have the radio feed reliably online and 5-10 minute highlight reels after every game which is worth something. Anybody who hasn't been watching highlights on cyclones.tv after every game has been missing out because there hasn't ever been anything like it on local and especially national coverage.

This unlikely has anything to do with the Big XII network positively or negatively, the content is the same. ISU is just switching who their host is. The only other Big XII school I saw on the list posted upthread is Kansas so it isn't like we're aligning all the schools under one provider or something

Roku...now if they had an Apple TV channel I'd be excited! It's all the same in the end. Use the app, cast to the screen using device of choice, Golden.

Well that is what supposedly the conference is discussing lumping all tier 3 under one channel insteam of each of us having our own. Cyclone tv is all tier 3 content.
