It wouldn't be a bigger upset than App St beating Michigan.
A steady drip of pseudo news stuff like this will speed the approach of next season.
I would say Nelson fits the image of the average Hawk fan. Perhaps too many teeth and a grade level too high, but pretty good.
I was trying to look for an image of Nelsons mom, but couldnt find find one. I remember her being quite the trailer trash. Fitting for the Hawks.
I agree. If you had to pick an upset somewhere, why not this game? We have been one of the worst D1 schools the last couple of years. Not to mention we were beat by UNI two years ago. Some of you get your feelings hurt easier than my infant daughter. No one will remember May's comments as long as we win. Take care of business and everything will be alright.
I know a lot of UNI people up here really itching for the iowa game, I think they're setting their hopes too high for upset alert already but trust me the belief and trash talking is already here. As for mark may, dumb. End sentence. Could we lose to ndsu? Simple answer: no, unless we have a HC named Chizik, last I checked it wasn't so we're good.

I was about to post this. It seems pretty much to be common knowledge that these guys don't spend much time on anyone outside of the top 20, and our record lately doesn't put us anywhere near that level. Why should anybody be surprised that he wouldn't be chomping at the bit to pick ISU for the win?
It's one of those "if we want respect, let's go earn it" sort of things.
I can see ISU loosing this game because I have seen them loose to UNI, Kent State, Toledo, Pacific, and almost loose to Army..............
There is going to be a whole new offense and defense to get down, and there will be some bone head mistakes in this game. AA looks like a pretty good QB, but he still has had some real bad turnovers. The INT against Kansas really changed the whole game and it was a bad as a qb can throw a pass.
I still think Mark May is a idiot though.

The isn't really true. We've been running a version of the spread for awhile. There will be more plays and terminology to learn, however.

My rookie 2 cents is that mark may is almost never correct w/ his surprise upsets/ controversial insider private info stuff that makes it seem like he's the one w/ all the insider dirt. Total BS. ISU will beat SDSU but it will be a battle and in the end a close game. We cant take any opp. for granted! On a side note what the heck is with everybody's obsession w/ Ferentz? Honestly the more you guys obsess and hate on Iowa the more you prove their point (that were obsessed and have lil' bro' syndrome).

Swarth, thanks for proving their point YET again! Its like crack to your type isn't it? Just cant put the pipe down. Actually I would love it if UI has problems/loses to UNI. Nothing would make me happier other than an ISU victory vs. UI.

I agree. Then we go ahead and win some more games, and we can start to earn people's respect.
Well I can tell you dual that I am not afraid of losing to north dakota...after losing to Drake....well anything is possible and you just cant get lower than that!!!!
