Loving-Black is a mystery at this point. He has yet to get in a game either this year or last year in his redshirt season. Hopefully he is able to break out next year. Hanika has seen action in 7 games so he might emerge as a contributor next year.

We’ve signed a good kicker. I’m much more curious about what happens with the punter spot. Both Joe Rivera and Corey Dunn are seniors.
Pretty sure our new kicker receive high grades punting as well, but you need two guys that know how to use their foot so I won't be shocked if one of them stick around.
I think Isaiah Lee and Latrell Bankston both come back on the dline next year. I would put Uwazurike in the ‘maybe’. Bailey is gone to the NFL.
My question is about Charlie Kolar- something tells me he stays, but I’ve seen him listed as a potential first or second round draft pick- he just seems too good to stay. As long as we have both Brock and Breece next year- we’re going to hang 40 every Saturday- can’t wait!

You need good communication on oline. One reason rotating does not happen as much.

Agree. Different linemen have different tendencies. The initial calls are fine but it’s when a stunt, blitz or something happens that causes changes that you can’t talk about. Knowing what the guys next to you will naturally do helps you know what to do.
Imagine you're 22. A graduating senior on what is the highest ranking team ISU has ever had, a team that (likely) fell just short of the CFP. So tantalizingly close, considering the teams COVID recovery likely cost them their first win in a weird season. Somebody comes to you and says, "You know what, all you seniors can come back next year because of the weird situation we are all in."
How do you NOT seriously consider it unless you are already locked into turning pro or have a career lined up to go immediately?
Do you really want to sit at home watching on TV as ISU competes seriously for a full season opportunity to go to the CFP and win a title when the NCAA had stamped you the opportunity to be right there along side your team mates?
The arithmetic might be different on a lot of teams, but I would not be the least bit surprised to see several seniors back next year for what can be a legendary opportunity.

Another thing to keep in mind is the NFL is not like the NBA. Careers are so short that for everything but QB age doesn’t matter. A guy could come back for year 6 and be 24 he is still getting drafted if he can play. There might be a few raw project guys that would get picked if they are 20, but age is not much of a factor in the NFL.
