I don't know if I like this design better than the previous, it's similar...

I don't think this latest mock of the lateral shoulder sleeve, looks very good. Looks too much like some countries flag!

It does remind one of a country's flag . . . Cyclone Country! ;-)

I like the design, a lot. There's no pleasing everyone, though, we all know that.

A non-uniform example of like/dislike: I really, truly dislike the term Cyclone Nation. It's common therefore overused by many schools, imo.

I much prefer Cyclone Country, seems to fit land-grant, Iowa-based ISU much better.

I've liked that that sleeve striping since I first saw it. It's an extension of the pants stripes, and with the numeral forms an "I."

I don't know if the "I" portion would work, though, with double-digit numerals. I suggest using an "S" for State on all jerseys.

I'm having a hard time visualizing how you would apply the "S" on the jersey's. How and exactly where, could you be more specific? Maybe I can work something up.

See attached --- "S" where the 2 is on the shoulders.
Got it. That makes a lot of sense. It would truly look like a more uniform "I" on the shoulder, and if looking closer, would read, "I-State". Brilliant! Buy yourself a Guinness.

Then if they wanted shoulder numbers, I suppose they could put them on top of the shoulder pads, or just not have them. Great suggestion, thx!

First rough attempt on the lateral sh stripes, w/ the S for State. It's not sized right yet and the # is way too small, it's also blurry. I'll post the finished/better one, later. I'll probably make the 'S' red also.

With the 'S' replacing the player's number, on the lateral shouler, in white...

I thought I might like the 45 degree cut pant stripe, but not so much. It's been done before, kind of looks unfinished.

That is looking good.

Since this design set includes white accents in the stripes, should the jersey number have white trim, too? I don’t want to overdo the white, but it might be just the right balance.

Other suggestions: Gold socks; Use standard I-State logo as primary helmet logo.

Has Iowa State ever done gold-cardinal-cardinal … helmet-jersey-pants? It might’ve happened once in a while during Criner/Walden years when ISU had gold helmet, I don’t recall.
