There is zero chance whatever the team wears will be better than what's on here. You all do realize Nike will have some unpaid intern coming up with the most hideous bright red with bright yellow mixed in a camo style and folks in the AD dept who have zero clue what looks cool will give the thumbs up.

Under rhoads, yes. This staff won't let that happen. Look at Toledos uniforms. Sleek and smooth IMO.

And there is really no need for it right now. I think fans, players, etc. would rather see 1-2 alternate uniform combinations per year for 5 years rather than a different uniform for the next 10-15 games.

I think as long as they are all wearing the same jerseys, you can tell which team they are still.

The school name is on the screen so who cares, recruits want different uniforms and ours aren't that good anyway. I personally don't look at the jerseys and try to figure out who is playing, first thing I do is look at the scoreboard.

I hate camo uniforms, but you can't deny that camo is everywhere these days, it makes sense it would start to show up on uniforms, even for teams with no apparent reason to wear it. As we all know, all that really matters is what the players like, and I'm sure a good portion at least would think they looked cool.

First, you're old fashioned. And that's ok.
Second, it doesn't matter so much what fans like. It's more important that the staff hears what recruits and players like and make every effort to do that. Even traditional powers have thrown out alternate uniforms to add a little buzz. A school like ISU who wants to get attention would be smart to do the same.

Rhoads was vehemently against doing anything trendy and I think that hurt him in the long run. CMC and Co are doing everything they can to get ISU trending.

Saw CMC at lunch in Marshalltown today. That guy is a great speaker. Since most people there were not 23 no one asked about uniforms but you can tell he doesn't know how all of this will translate to the field but they are trying their hardest to get the best kids. With the best kids they can be put in positions to win.

An unrelated note - someone asked him about in-state recruiting. He said "last year proves anyone can play in the Big Ten West and win games. But if you want to play real football we are the midwest option in the Big 12." Huge laugh.
