It was said more in jest than it reads. Like I said, it's fine. It's just so typical ISU to latch on to an awful song with a worse choreographed dance. I was there when it started. I have fun when it's played. I love nothing more than being at an ISU game. But come on, it's sooooo bad.
Yeah it's bad but good bad.

Juicy Wiggle is objectively a dumbass song. But it’s OUR dumbass song and frankly it’s one of the best things we do. It’s not easy to find something the grandparents, middle age, students, and little kids like.

I can’t imagine an Iowa State fan not being happy when they hear it. It’s wrapped up so many great memories.

One of my favorite things, however is when Juicy Wiggle is played at a wedding and the non Iowa state people are like “what in the hell is this song?”. And you have to explain it is stupid but it’s OUR stupid. And we love it.

And now I’m going to old person complain….I am in the NW corner of the stadium and the speakers are really, really loud. I wish they could dial it back maybe 5%. Oh well!

I am in the nw west corner near the field a and it's incredibly loud there. Nowhere near as bad as the 1st game but still loud.

Love Juicy Wiggle, hate the choreographed dance. Wish everyone would just let loose, go nuts, and for night games get their phone flashlights out to light up the stadium.
Yeah the song is fun just go nuts. I'm not a huge fan of the choreography but whatever. Everyone is having fun and it gets the crowd hyped.

Continuing to belt out Mr Brightside as the play started was very enjoyable. More please.
When they sent out the survey to season ticket holders in one of the comments sections I put in they should play this song. Had a good feeling it could get the energy up. The song cut out at a part of the song that most people would know the lyrics too which helped there.

I doubt that's the reason they played it and probably had more to do with the Ireland people being there. That song is crazy popular over there.

If the isu band and k state band both took the field at the end of halftime in Ireland and played it, I would not be disappointed.

The tune is catchy, but the lyrics seem to be an odd choice for a football game (unless I'm looking at the wrong Mr. Brightside)...

With any luck we will be there by Tuesday.

Up in Section E, one of my favorite fans to sit by just randomly went: "Hiddy Hiddy Hiddy Ho!" at random moments from when we saw that video through the end of the game. It was hilarious and awesome. I hope they do it again. I immediately wanted to watch Blues Brothers again after seeing it.

Also, nearly everyone around me seemed to know the words to Mr. Brightside. It was fun to sing it, and even for it to continue after the music stopped through the end of the second verse / chorus. I hope they do that again as well.

You could hear the Cab Calloway stuff really well on the TV. I thought it sounded like something different.

The crowd absolutely feeds off their energy, which is why I really hate them being stuffed back in that corner, so far from the band (and field).

They should be front and center (attention wise) of the place and basically be orchestrating/leading energizers.

5 minutes before game time they need to play "Ready to go" by Republica. Maybe stop those slow starts.

I have some thoughts on this.

I didn’t make the ND game week 1, but social media made it sound like she was unbearable.

I actually disagree. Yes they show her a lot, but I think she does a good job given what it is and didn’t really notice her (which is a good thing).
It's been toned down a lot. Not as annoying now.

Agreed. I thought it was a bit quieter on Saturday. And for some reason, it’s the songs (not the PA guy or the hype woman) that really grate on me. 5% quieter would really help.
