New Football Commit

Ask Iowa if tall WR's like Hakeem Butler can get behind defenses.

That has as much to do with lack of respect as anything. Butler is way faster than a lot of guys give him credit for, but he is not a track guy. He also got matched up with safeties a lot because of all the attention AL got and the fact that they lined him up inside, almost like a TE. Hopefully he will continue to get behind defenders on a regular basis. Guy covers a lot of ground in the open field.

DK Blaylock (WR), one time commit, signed with Boise St. is in the portal as well. (edit: was in the portal, 247 doesn't show a new school)

Apparently transferred to Abilene Christian...o_O

The coaching staff cooled/passed on DK.

Funny, I was looking at that link last night. Trying to see who we might target for O-Line. Seems a good majority are going transferring down, meaning couldn’t get playing time. One that caught me eye was this guy. https://247sports.com/Player/Greg-Long-78964/ Became a starter as a true freshman, got hurt two games into his soph year and didn’t play at all in 2018 due to injury. I can’t find any stats for last year.

I liked the first post in this thread . . .
