New Arrowhead?

It's a bad argument. Property values in newer areas in Lees Summit, Blue Springs, and Liberty are increasing just as much as OP, Olathe, etc. The metro as a whole is seeing the same property value increases. It's the older areas, which includes areas in KCK, that don't see as much of an increase in value. Those older areas of KCK are not going to see values go up because of this move by the Chiefs, and Lees Summit won't see smaller increases in property values because of this move.
Aren't property taxes in Wyandotte actually higher than JoCo?

Well it's all relative, but it's not on the list nationwide. 1st in KS, though.
Its as nice of a county as I've ever been in honestly. You couldn't buy a house in JoCo for under 300k and that's pretty astounding for a place in middle America. Shawnee is probably the poorest city in the county and it's even expensive to live in.

I'm just sick of listening to the people who voted no crying about the team leaving. And there is a lot of that going on. Didn't private bonds pay for the new airport terminal? Hard to imagine anyone on the Missouri side spending a cent on improvements.
Yes, and the voters approved the airport bonds. However, the KC City Council did its best to kill that back in 2016.

If the city builds the stadium it isn't owned by billionaires either. Who do you think owns Arrowhead Stadium?
Jackson County owns it. When it comes to people voting on tax increases, they are more apt to vote on something they get a benefit from. Airports have a benefit. Stadiums, not as much.

Assuming is doing a lot of work there.
Dont assume the teams will stay in Greater KC because that's where they have mainly been. That's a big problem with KCMO. KCMO messed up and lost TWA too. The state legislature saved the state by basically forcing them to move to St. Louis. KCMO has a long history of pissing things down their leg. This is the major sports franchise they'll lose and the Royals will be the 4th.

Again, what does “lose” mean in this context? We aren’t talking about the Rams moving to LA. It’s literally across town.

I don't think people on the Missouri side realize how bad this could have been. People need to quit dreaming KCMO and that state of Missouri owns the Chiefs and that's the problem with people on the MO side. He wouldn't have had any trouble moving that team to some metro that actually would have helped pay for a stadium. If you don't believe me ask any city that's lost a pro franchise. And KCMO has now lost football, hockey, basketball, and soon to be baseball. The idea that Clark gives a **** about the Kansas City Chiefs is laughable. He cares about the Chiefs for sure. The San Antonio Chiefs probably doesn't sound that much different to a businessman. And people can say "Lamar wouldn't have moved the team" but that's total b.s. too. If Lamar wasnt a businessman they'd still be the Dallas Texans. The alternate reality people live in is astounding. Memories are great but the future is what most business decisions are based on. Nostalgia gets you nowhere.

Okay… but it didn’t happen and it was never discussed. If he had an offer from another town maybe the vote goes differently.

Here's the thing Bryce, we didnt go there because he knew Kansas would pony up if Missouri didn't. Don't think for a second he wouldn't have considered it either(picking up and leaving the region). I do think Clark is loyal to KC but he's not a moron. He's a businessman and this whole thing is business. The sooner people realize this the better. I know you understand that but most don't. I feel like Clark was probably willing to lose more money staying in Jackson County than most would have too.
