Yeah, I get what you're saying. I agree bandwagon fan probably isn't the right term for people who cheer against a certain team.

But I also still think it's a little ironic when all the anti-Heat people complain about their bandwagon fans. They're basically the exact opposite, which isn't much better imo.

I certainly know I'm not making some outside the box rare choice in thinking Miami is a team of arrogant floppers and thus hoping they lose. I think it says a lot about the way they carry themselves. The NBA is probably fine with it, people are watching just like when they watched more likable teams like Chicago, Houston, Boston and LA win multiple titles. The public never fell in love with Detroit and San Antonio teams winning multiple titles, but also didn't dislike them enough to drive up ratings cheering against them.

I said more likable than Miami, and I was talking more about 80s Boston title teams anyway. The 70s and 60s Celtics were before my time and probably before it was easy to watch so many games on TV anyway.
