NBA Mock Drafts 2026

Milan at this pace and shooting percentage, is gone after this year and getting drafted.
I said this in another thread. With the money available in cbb, Milan may stay if not a lottery pick. Maybe more accurate to say if not a 1st round pick. The danger then is will ISU be able to offer enough to ward off what some other college offers, similar to JJ this year.

Toure just had a zero point game. As well as he defends, I don’t know that you can get drafted as a PG solely on defense and athleticism. He probably needs one more year. Honestly, a team built around Toure, Batemon, Buchanan and Pleta is still really good. You get Williams off of RS, add a guy or two from the portal, plus a good recruiting class. That’s a top 25 team at worst.

Toure can't shoot or create his own shot that well. He may be here all four years. Or at least three. Which is just fine with me.

Thought I saw a mock with him top 25. I do think he’ll slow down a bit now as folks have tape. Good too see Bateman pick it up. If Toure stays, should have a good core again next year.

Toure might get drafted, but he’d make more money probably in college next year. In the end he’s a 6’4 guy that isn’t a good shooter, doesn’t really have a workable jump shot right now, and turns it over a lot.

If you’re a 6’4 guy to get picked high you are either an elite skill guy, crazy Edgecomb type athlete, or maybe both. You’re is neither. If he can develop good skills as a PG next year, including knocking down shots, he can move way up draft boards.

As for Milan, he’s getting drafted at the end of those projections. The mocks keep undervaluing skilled guys. Kim Kneuppel went way higher than most mocks last year.

Mocks and people on here seem to think the NBA drafts like it did years ago where long athletic guys that couldn’t play were still getting picked high. A 6’8 dude that can score from 3 and the mid-range like Milan is a first rounder easily.

Batemon is definitely picking up the slack. I still have hope that Nelson can be a decent contributor for us too. He's really good at getting to the rim and FT line. Toure seems to have hit a little bit of the freshmen wall, which is to be expected. He's still a really, really good player that is helping us win. At this point, I would expect Milan to declare, and I wouldn't blame him one bit. He's having a dang near historic shooting season. Not a lot to improve on from there.

Still, if your starting point for 2026 is Toure, Batemon and Buchanon, that is a great spot to be in. You still have Pleta, who is going to be an elite rotational big by that point. Williams off of injury can play 1-3. I wonder whether Xzavion Mitchell will stick around. But, you add some frontcourt depth with Kiss and Rinaldo-Komlan, a backup SG in Wiggins, a backup PG in Gray and we still have Kelderman back. That's 11 players assuming Mitchell returns and Milan declares. Room for 2 more in the portal. And, we're unloading some huge rev share contracts with Tamin, Jefferson, Milan. I'd say at the very least, they need to find the best stretch 4 they can get. And maybe a SF.
