Naz Long

[QUOTE He said something about how Naz was in a bit of a slump for a while there, but seems to have gotten out of it. And Naz answered about how he had no excuses and just went on and on about it. It was pretty cool (and not real necessary) to see him take such responsibility. Can't help but respect a guy like that.[/QUOTE]

AGREE!!! Personal responsibility is becoming a rare thing. Nice job, Naz.

All I have to say is that Fred needs to have a set play for the last possession of the first half that gets the ball out of Kane's hands and into Naz's for a shot. As good as Kane has been in games, that last second shot is not his thing.

Agreed. If Morris is in, he needs to have the ball. If not, have a set play to move the ball earlier in the clock.

Also, perhaps my favorite of Naz's skills/attribute is his composure and positivity on the court. Never scowls, always cheering the other guys on, always the one to bring the team together for a quick huddle.

Didn't get a chance to jump in since the game but Big Congrats to Naz for a ball busting incredible performance yesterday.

Maybe it's a Canada thing. He and Mel give some of the classiest post game interviews I've heard, another great one by Naz yesterday. Eric gets a little credit too.

I loved the way the crowd was almost as quiet a FT when Naz let the shot go. The only thing missing was the little boy in the south balcony yelling "It's in the hole!"

No he says "It's in the hole!" Get it right! :jimlad: PS there were two little OSU fans who kept screaming during ISU free throws. Someone needs to teach these kids some manners..or as Reece Bobby says throw them in the microwave.

I think it was a also a nice play by Kane to get it ahead to Naz. Wasn't the easiest pass with two defenders coming at you.

I hear "Get in the hole!" I must be too far over. Either way, it makes me smile when I hear it.

And good hands by Naz to control the pass as it looked like Brown was close to stealing it.

Naz seems to be figuring it out at the right time, hope that carries to the tournaments.
He came into the game the second half with high energy, hustle, focus and perseverance. The fact a couple shots went down was due to strong motivation to win the last HM game of the year. We needed someone to go to the next gear.
