No, it is what he said. What he is trying to say, who knows. Take any recruit, 2 star, 4 star, whatever. ISU will have an easier time recruiting him than Murry St. So no, he won't find it harder.

I think we've already shown proof that a southern coach with connections can pull southern kids up here. I'm sure we'll open up some interesting areas depending on the composition of the new staff.

There is no reason to think that we can't pull kids out of Southeast. Weather is always hot in Hilton and they are coming to play basketball not fish at Lake Laverne. If he has local coaches AAU and HS that trust him we will get kids. If we can get kids out of northeast with all the basketball traditions up there we can get them from anywhere.

Yes, Louisiana would generally be the cut off line. It's in the SEC and definitely deep south.

ESPN shows Murray State also offered 4 star shooting guard Haanif Cheatham from Ft. Lauderdale. He ended up committing to Marquette, so he should be in Ames sometime next year. Haha.
