Mow Height

I have been mowing my lawn at 2 1/2" so far this year. I know when it gets hotter I should change to longer (like 3") Should I be cutting mine higher yet, or does it matter at this point?

I mowed Friday and finally moved the blade up from 2 3/4” to 3 1/4”. I have Kentucky Bluegrass. The forecast here in central Iowa for next week is temps in the 90s. I don’t have irrigation so the high temperatures will be a shock to the lawn. Figure I won’t be mowing again until we get a good rain.
