Monte Senior Season

Right now Monte's not a first rounder and time is running out. This is a full guard year as well so he should stay if not guaranteed a first rounder.

He's probably gone regardless, and Naz too. My guess is next year is a complete rebuild and the year after defines Prohm's tenure at ISU.

Note to self....AL 4 State doesn't know jack ****. He seriously thinks Naz is gone?

Maybe he doesn't realize Naz is a senior, yet didn't participate in the Senior send off at the game tonight.

No inside info, just seems like a lot of speculation and with ISU it seems like negative speculation = likely outcomes

I'm extremely pessimistic about basketball.

Speculation from where? The last time I remember hearing any speculation Naz very publicly shut the door hard on the possibility of playing anywhere else next year.

He looks awfully engaged on the sidelines. He is on the record saying transferring is out of the question so I'm not at all worried about that. The redshirt is basically guaranteed. The only way I don't see him back is if he can't recover properly and thinks he'll never regain his past performance.

If that were the case, I couldn't blame him.

All it takes for Naz to be gone next year is for him to say that he wants to study something that ISU doesn't offer. Then he becomes the most highly sought after graduate transfer in the country. Having the best teams across the nation court you would be quite the fun experience.

That said, I'm 95% sure he won't leave.

Whether or not Naz comes back has no bearing on his eligibility. Being honored tonight would have told you he was gone.

Maybe it's why he's distracted but his recent performance can't be helping his stock. A couple months ago I heard scouts wanted to see him score, which he did for a while but since he hasn't scored and he's been a to machine (by his standards anyway). I don't wish him ill but if what has already happened keeps him here I'll be happy to welcome him back.

I would guess playing 38 mpg (39.9 in conference play) is why his play has been dipping some. The guy has to be tired. That is an insane amount of minutes.

I love Naz, but this seems a little over the top.
