Yeah but the FB team goes to the hotel Friday after practice until they arrive at the Stadium for the game.

You're not wrong. But that's not reality. Reality is that regardless of if you like the practice, it exists and if you want to compete in power conference athletics, that's the game you have to play.Just feels like a giant scam 'donating' to NIL. The product needs to pay for itself through ticket sales and TV revenues and not survive on patronage for player incomes
Totally agree with this. I will never donate to NIL unless its beers or pizza. NIL is destroying college athletics and despite me being a diehard fan with 25 years of season tickets college years included, the second NIL become obviously part of the donation for me to get tickets, I walk.I would love to know just how much our former players now in the pros (both football and basketball) have given to NIL. You can only milk so much money out of the average fan but these former athletes making millions in the pros have much more sound financial standing to donate than most of us could ever dream. At some point anyone not a blue blood school is going to have a hard time trying to keep up with the Jones in NIL because we don't have the rich donor base to compete on a yearly basis. Fans aren't going to dig deeper and give more when the system is rigged to benefit the ones that have been playing this game before it was legal to do so.
I've said it here before, I get no return on investment if I give to NIL which is why I don't. I buy season tickets and I buy beers that give to NIL but that's all I will do. Call me a bad fan if you want but I'd rather put $1000 to pay down loans or my kids college savings than donate to give an athlete already on a full ride scholarship more money.
Texas has oil. We have corn. Corn oil is the answer!
If we're going to talk about beer at tailgates...What creative ideas can you come up with? One less can of beer at the tailgates at $4 a can times 7 games a year could equal a million dollars right there
Clone Cones out of an ice cream truck/golf cart/Gator for hot weather game tailgates. Shoot, ice cream truck all summer cruising Ames and surrounding towns, featuring the Clone Cone and other assorted frozen treats, tie-in deal with Blue Bunny. Alternate the fight song with a catchy jingle on loud speaker.Start selling clone cones at football games
Halfway serious
Why didn't we get in on bitcoin early?Let’s start a go fund me and go all YOLO on the stock market GME style.
People don't want to hear it but you're right. Raise current tickets prices off the type of games we already get or...Here’s what fans don’t realize…tickets in Ames are dirt cheap.
As I’ve looked at Texas games and even dismal OSU tickets this fall…we’re 1/2 to 1/4 of the prices of Baylor or TCU for similar seats.
Fastest way to raise money…ticket prices.
