MNF

I would love to know the story behind that. Is this real? Is it a college presentation? Is it really a local nightly news? Is that guy still doing the news?

That is trainwreck bad - should look away, but just can't.
College newscast, regular news caster was sick. This 19 year old student said I can read the sports. Pair that with an inexperienced person running the teleprompter that night and you are left with a malfunctioning teleprompter and a person whose winging it skills are sub par.

You didn't provide context but I assume it was regarding that more games are decided because one team makes a mistake and not because one team does something extraordinary. I think the belief is a big reason coaches tend to make the safe choice and makes a lot of things boring and predictable. Or maybe a statistics lecture broke out during a timeout in which case yes, it doesn't make much sense.

no, it really wasn’t in any of those contexts. It was just a statement he made.

Is it just me, or does Booger just make EVERYTHING so agonizing?

He has got to be the worst announcer this year. Is it close? Nothing that guy says is of substance and makes me scratch my head at captain obvious.

Another comment. Phillip Rivers is really bad. Really bad.

I gave this a "Funny" click. I remember hearing similar thing over the years, multiple times, "Basketball games are lost, not won."

It's an attempt to sound philosophical or something, but ultimately pointless. I'm no mathematician, but chance of winning or losing, regardless of the reason, still hovers near 50%. Give or take 0%.

If there is a fanbase that can understand this quote it would be the Iowa State football fanbase. We've given away so many wins.

He explained it a little bit when he did tosh.o a few years back. It's probably on YouTube but can't link it as I'm on mobile.

Yes, Booger is pretty bad. I usually watch MNF (and most sports) with the volume on low while I'm goofing around on the laptop. When MNF is on this year, volume is set to zero, all because of Booger.

His commentary matches what I would expect from someone who had never watched a football game in their life, then completely immersed him/herself in it for a month, then was put on the MNF broadcast crew.

Watching Rivers throw 4 interceptions was extremely satisfying.
I think Mahomes is great but that whole team seems to just want to give the ball away. I only watched a little of the game but I saw Mahomes scramble for first down but continue to hold the ball in one outstretched hand long after crossing the line of scrimmage and in a ton of traffic. Then I see his RB do the same and actually cough the ball up but luckily it fell right back in his lap. Does that coaching staff not preach ball security?

It seemed like neither team wanted to keep the ball so I quit watching.
