***MLB Postseason Thread***

BTW, who's rooting for the O's here? I know I am.

Also, rulzz, thanks for not ignoring me. Me haz sad. Just stupid arguing. :D

O's Fan, checking in. Grew up in the Baltimore/Washington area, so I'm pulling hard for the O's and the Nats.

O's fan, primarily. I remember when they last made the post-season... I was 11 years old.

Let's go O's!

I'm sure if the Nationals knew they'd be in contention at the start of the season, they'd have done it differently. Strasburg was shut down well before they even clinched; it's not like they could just have him sit out a month, get rusty, and then pick up where he left off.

Send him to the bullpen at the all-star break. If they think they are a good enough team to win the WS without him, why not use him to better themselves overall in the playoffs?

You are claiming alot for a team that has never been in the post season. Matheny and more importantly Yady, Carp, Waino will have this team ready to go. If this series only goes 5 games with the Nats winning I would be shocked.

Postseason experience is overrated.

Signed,

Every team that's knocked the Yankees out of the playoffs in the past decade.

**** if I know, man, but I tend to give groups of doctors who have arrived at a consensus the benefit of the doubt. Maybe it would have interfered with his recovery to have a period of lower activity like that? I don't know.

All I know is that the team's said they consulted with trainers, doctors, management, and Strasburg himself on a near-daily basis about this. Maybe they're idiots and majorly ****ed up this decision...but we're even bigger idiots if we're second-guessing their decision from behind a computer monitor without having access to all of the medical information that they do.

Meh, he isn't the first pitcher that's had this surgery. They ****ed up.

He did come back pretty damned fast compared to a lot of others who've had it. I've never understood why there's so much variation in how long it takes guys to bounce back from TJ surgery.

There he is. Mr Confident. Being butthurt.

Oh, and the Braves fans that we know and love....throw trash on the field???

bahaha

Meh, don't know much about Braves fans anymore. We haven't been in the same division as them since... what... 1994 or something? I hate the new divisions, I hate the expanded playoffs... it should be the East and West like it used to be. Win your division or go home for the winter.

Alright, it's time to do some serious drinking. The liver is evil and must be punished.

Good win, Cards. The Braves will get over the botched play and realize that it didn't guarantee ****; the Cards still put up 6 runs and made some good defensive plays. They deserved it. I was hoping for the Braves because they've got a nice littler rivalry brewing with the Nats, but either way, I think this DS would be the best of the 4.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Cards play in Washington this Wednesday night!
