If there is some kind of award for marching band creativity that has to win easily.

Does anyone have any better full coverage of the Seneca tribute and where the band formed like the run and he ran through? All I ever saw was a tiny bad quality clip on "X".
Pretty cool to get them both back in same year.
his fiance is an iowan. he is officially connected here for life (he woulda been anyways cuz he's a g). we have trapped him here. great success
Somewhere there is a video of him combining on her family's farm this week.
The same thing basically happened with Mike Cox (#30, football).
Uh... We didn't win the Big 12 . That's like saying well, I won the big 10 and from this year to that year I played in the rose bowl. Thats a weird argument IMO.We won the Big 12 in 2020. We finished the season with the best record in the conference and everyone played everyone.
From 2011-2016 that meant you got to call yourself the Big 12 champ. So **** it, we won the Big 12. We also won the Fiesta Bowl.
Brock Purdy is worthy of getting his jersey retired. The only thing is that he shares that number with one of the other all time greats.
Orange???No way does Brock get his jersey retired. All due respect to Brock, but he did not win any awards and his greatest team accomplishment was an Orange Bowl in a not normal season of college football. He was a 2-time Big 12 first team guy, and holds several Big 12 records, but I still don't think you do this. 15 is special to Iowa State football the way 11 is to Men's Basketball.
He beat Iowa...Man I loved Seneca but nothing he did compares to what Brock did.
Purdy is the best QB to ever play at this university. Really not even too debatable.Man I loved Seneca but nothing he did compares to what Brock did.

I came from out of state for the 2002 Mizzou Game. Absoultely a fantastic game by both QBs. ISU was actually still ranked (#21 IIRC) and not a single highlight on ESPN Gamenight because it wasn't on TV! Just skipped over the game, like it didn't happen - when they rolled through the Top 25 scores. At least I saw it in person!Things like the Missouri game in 2002 and 'the run' were quite the display of talent.
They were different QBs though too.

When you're debating between #1 and #2 all time, saying someone is #1 doesn't mean you don't love #2 as well. This is a strawman, and a really stupid one, at that. Not this again. Both were great ISU QB’s.
It’s impossible to say who was better. Both were very different. Seneca didn’t have near as much talent surrounding him…. so I hate when people knock him down…. he EASILY has the best highlight reel of any ISU football player ever…. and only played a couple years here too.
Love them both! Why is that so hard?
I think @clonedude would agree with you. He isn’t the one making the argument that Brock is the best qb ever from ISU.When you're debating between #1 and #2 all time, saying someone is #1 doesn't mean you don't love #2 as well. This is a strawman, and a really stupid one, at that.
Agreed. There aren’t enough numbers to go around anyway, just make a ring of honor and hang the jerseys.I don't see why we need to retire any number. Just honor his jersey.
