Message from Brock for Tomorrow Night

Does anyone have any better full coverage of the Seneca tribute and where the band formed like the run and he ran through? All I ever saw was a tiny bad quality clip on "X".

Pretty cool to get them both back in same year.

You Tube ISU Cyclone marching band has the whole half time show from Oct 7th.

We won the Big 12 in 2020. We finished the season with the best record in the conference and everyone played everyone.

From 2011-2016 that meant you got to call yourself the Big 12 champ. So **** it, we won the Big 12. We also won the Fiesta Bowl.

Brock Purdy is worthy of getting his jersey retired. The only thing is that he shares that number with one of the other all time greats.
Uh... We didn't win the Big 12 . That's like saying well, I won the big 10 and from this year to that year I played in the rose bowl. Thats a weird argument IMO.

We've had other greats not have a jersey retired who accomplished as much if not more individually, they just were on worse teams.

Troy Davis... everyone and their blind and deaf grandma knew he was getting the ball. If we thought that Manning was predictable that was 10 times worse.

He should and will easily be the HOF and maybe have a bridge, or some other way to celebrate his accomplishments. But if Troy, Seneca, etc, don't have their number's retired, then he shouldn't either IMO

No way does Brock get his jersey retired. All due respect to Brock, but he did not win any awards and his greatest team accomplishment was an Orange Bowl in a not normal season of college football. He was a 2-time Big 12 first team guy, and holds several Big 12 records, but I still don't think you do this. 15 is special to Iowa State football the way 11 is to Men's Basketball.
Orange???
Try Fiesta.

Things like the Missouri game in 2002 and 'the run' were quite the display of talent.

They were different QBs though too.
I came from out of state for the 2002 Mizzou Game. Absoultely a fantastic game by both QBs. ISU was actually still ranked (#21 IIRC) and not a single highlight on ESPN Gamenight because it wasn't on TV! Just skipped over the game, like it didn't happen - when they rolled through the Top 25 scores. At least I saw it in person!

You're free to think this, but I it's a really bad take. Purdy is far and away the best QB to play at ISU, both by statistics and accomplishments. And it's not even close. And this whole "he made a Big 12 Championship game and 'Orange Bowl' in a not normal season" is an outright bull**** statement and you should kick yourself in the junk for making it. At the end of the day the only thing "not normal" for us that year was not playing Iowa.

At the end of the day, if Purdy doesn't deserve to have his number retired, NOBODY deserves to have their number retired.

And 15 isn't a "special number" for our football team, so get over it.

And it was FIESTA BOWL, not Orange Bowl.

Purdy is the best QB to ever play at this university. Really not even too debatable.

Not this again. Both were great ISU QB’s.

It’s impossible to say who was better. Both were very different. Seneca didn’t have near as much talent surrounding him…. so I hate when people knock him down…. he EASILY has the best highlight reel of any ISU football player ever…. and only played a couple years here too.

Love them both! Why is that so hard?

When you're debating between #1 and #2 all time, saying someone is #1 doesn't mean you don't love #2 as well. This is a strawman, and a really stupid one, at that.

I think @clonedude would agree with you. He isn’t the one making the argument that Brock is the best qb ever from ISU.
