Mega Mart coming to Des Moines area

The whole operating without signage up is an interesting ploy by mega saver as well. Zero signage up in Ankeny last I saw, none up in Johnston, and only one side up in Urbandale.

I lived in a hipster neighborhood in Chicago for a few years where all the bars and clubs would try to be cool by not having a sign at all or if they did have a sign it would be an abstract symbol of some kind. When one did it, no big deal, but there were like 4 or 5 on the same block and it was like "WTF ARE WE EVEN DOING HERE?!?!?".

Did they blow the sign off?

See where Maverick is selling some old Kum and Go to Mega Mart. Get ready for cheap gas, cheap cigarettes, cheap beer, and trashy stores and poor service.
The ones in Omaha are pretty nice. Plus, 0.40 cheaper diesel and after investigating, their diesel isn’t trash as rumors said it was.

I noticed the jizz and split on 44 in Grimes is now a Casey’s. Seems like Maverick is unloading most of the locations.
Yeah they are moving the old store on 44 just down the street to that location this week and the rumor is the city is/has bought the property where the current Casey's is at. It's the oldest Casey's in town and the location they are moving to is not only bigger and newer but just around the corner from the Hy-Vee SportsPlex so should get more business.

I will say that the Mega Saver on 141 has the best gas prices in the Grimes area at the moment. Been at least 20 cents a gallon cheaper than anywhere in the area this week.

The fuel prices I've seen say "Member price."

So is that a rewards based price that you have to sign up for?

Buc-ees has to be experienced to be believed. Only way to describe it is a comparison- mega everything w/atmosphere of perfect day of tailgating at Trice. My wife is an addict, I drove 250 miles out of my way on a trip so she could get Buc-ees nuggets among other trinkets, happy wife happy life.
