Mediacom down in ames?

I live out by towers and my internet and cable have been down for about an hour. Anyone else?
 
I think theyre all digital now, so you have to use digital channel numbers. I could be wrong though.
 
Just called. There is a known outage in my area and they are "diligently" working on it. God I hate this company.

So they confirm something is wrong and that they are working on it and it pisses you off? What would you have done if they said "well, this is the first we heard of the outage and we will look into it"? Kick a baby? Go postal?
 
Come on, we're only transferring information around the world in a matter of seconds, how hard can it be, Mediacom!?!?

I guess I should have given some backstory that it's been an ongoing issue for the past month or so that they haven't resolved for my whole neighborhood. If I'm paying over $100 a month for a service and it is incredibly intermittent I think that is enough to get upset about. Especially when I got up early to prepare food and have a house full of people waiting to watch a baseball game.

I am SOOOO close to pulling the trigger, especially after today. Only thing they have on me is Mediacom Connections channel....

Ive had both. I have directv right now and I will honestly say I have had more problems with them than what I did with mediacom. I had mediacom for about 2 years and didnt have as much trouble as I have had with directv in 4 months. The other problem I dont enjoy is the obvious satelitte problem when storms come through.
