Many things can be true at once. Iowa State fans shouldn't be jerks here. Let's be supportive of Williams and send all the positive vibes possible that he can make a full recovery and be the player this staff believes he can be (and prove the reason why they targeted him so early in the Portal - the potential is there). There have been sacrifices all around in this situation, a situation that nobody (on any side) wants to be in, particularly in this NIL era where decisions are tough and there are real $$ that matter to CBB teams.Don’t be a jerk. Not true at all. The kid has already sacrificed a lot to be in Ames.
lol we will not see this guy play in an Iowa state uniform. With the transfer portal these days why on earth would we take a transfer who needs hip surgery? Most Iowa State thing ever.
Depth could be a concern come February-March again with the news Williams is out. We will have injuries every season based on the defensive intensity the team is required to play with. I don’t think Pleta is on campus either so we will need Batemon and Toure to be ahead at the guard position.
Well that is not the answer Mason gave when asked directly about his injury status on another premium site. I will leave it at that. It’s been known for months he would be out for the year, that’s why they brought in Nelson after the injury. It just resurfaced today because of the surgery announcement.
Well, today’s news lines up with what was said when we started recruiting Nelson again. I’ll leave it at that.Well that is not the answer Mason gave when asked directly about his injury status on another premium site. I will leave it at that.
What did he sacrifice?Don’t be a jerk. Not true at all. The kid has already sacrificed a lot to be in Ames.
They did. That information was shared months ago.Hope the. Coaches knew we were taking an injured player. Ugh
You are such a d i p s h i t.Free surgery courtesy of Iowa State…. then probably never play here.
I'm fine with it. ISU has made serious hay with guys that have sat a year. It's just an investment for the following two years IMO.Underrated that if he plays two years here he'll be a fifth year senior. Smart to find old guys after the covid exception ends.
Jefferson and Gilbert were both injured when we took them. If Jefferson had been healthy, he probably ends up somewhere else.Hope the. Coaches knew we were taking an injured player. Ugh
ummm... okay?? interesting take for sure. not sure how you took my statement as a shot on the kid? it was the complete opposite of that.... I think he's smart.Don’t be a jerk. Not true at all. The kid has already sacrificed a lot to be in Ames.

What episode of the Twilight Zone am I ******* in right now?ummm... okay?? interesting take for sure. not sure how you took my statement as a shot on the kid? it was the complete opposite of that.... I think he's smart.
And to add to that.... I didn't say he'll never play here... I hope he does... he looks like a good player. I'm just saying us Cyclone fans have been down this road before... and many times the kid never plays a single minute for us. and not always the kid's choice either I'm sure.
It depends upon what your definition of "is", is.What episode of the Twilight Zone am I ******* in right now?
Those guys played in the Stone Age compared to the current college basketball landscape.I'm fine with it. ISU has made serious hay with guys that have sat a year. It's just an investment for the following two years IMO.
