I'm in the process of re-watching all the MCU and nearly done. Of the Disney+ series, I've only yet to reach Hawkeye for a re-watch. Its worth noting that WandaVision only got better with a re-watch, and it was by far my favorite series after the first time. Loki also improved some, while What if...? stayed about the same, and Falcon and the Winter Soldier got significantly worse. FATWS's story and editing flaws made the show look like a complete conjobbled mess with second viewing, and I was only so-so on it the first time. I'm afraid Hawkeye's flaws are only going to make it look worse as well, but we'll see.

I may re-watch WandaVision at some point. I think the acting was more solid than the others.

The time travel/multiverse aspect of Loki was hard for me to really get into. I thought the acting and plot were fine, but everything was too consequence-free for me to really enjoy it like I hoped I would.

"What If" was fun. I'm not sure if I have a huge desire to re-watch any of them, however. Part of it has to do with being ready to move on with some of the characters from phase 4, I think.

FATWS was easily my least favorite. It's too bad because some of the action scenes involving Falcon are really really good. Despite liking CA-Winter Soldier a lot, Sebastian Stan's acting range is very limited. He's solid with the stoic Winter Soldier character, but that didn't translate to being a leading character for this series. Between that and Anthony Mackie channeling early Will Smith, I didn't get any chemistry between the two actors at all. Just flat dialogue and zero comaraderie. Throw in a clunky plot, and it became a hard series to watch.

I liked the first episode of Moonknight. Seems promising to me. FWIW the only other marvel show I D+ that I really enjoyed was Hawkeye.

I didn’t really like Hawkeye but still really enjoyed Moon Knight. It’s hard to compare it to any other MCU show right now. It’s similar to FatWS and Hawkeye in that it appears to be street-level, but it’s also got an element of magic to it like Loki and WandaVision.

It reminds me more of the Netflix Marvel series than the D+ ones so far. It could be pretty good.

Finished Moon Knight episode 1 finally and have found it intriguing enough for sure. Not enough has happened yet to form too much of an opinion either way yet.

I thought it was good and will keep watching, but definitely confusing (to be expected). I actually know nothing about the character, so everything will be a surprise for me. As for the D+ series, I really liked WandaVision and enjoyed Hawkeye. FATWS was OK and at least worth watching. My favorite superhero series in the last few years was Peacemaker. I thought that show was really good and you could see James Gunn shining through just like the GoG movies.

I think what makes it worse is that it could have really tied in the "old" mcu to the "new" mcu (or the direction they are taking it) if that makes sense. It could have been the crown jewel of these new mini-series but it is really just a turd in a bowl of milk.
I understand the criticism people had with the show but it wasn't THAT bad.

I knew we thought very much alike, which is why I made my initial comment. The episode was just an episode. Nothing happened (which makes sense) to where anyone can really go one way or the other yet on this show IMO.

Very intrigued though same as you.

I thought it was ok. I’m not sure I’m going to like the running “konshu commentary” when the action is happening, it reminds me way too much of Venom and that is by far what I dislike most about those movies.

Still not a fan of the costume changes from the comics either. This costume isn’t bad, but the comics costume is so damn cool.

Either way I’ll keep watching, Oscar Isaac is a damn good actor and this is different enough to hold my attention.

It wasn’t probably that bad. My expectations were likely too high and once I heard they had to piecemeal it because of the rona, I couldn’t unsee the stuff that was disjointed or get past it.

Anyone see Morbius last night? If so, thoughts? I won't be seeing until Tuesday myself.
Honestly all the Sony Spider Man stuff sounds interesting but without Spider Man and with the whole other MCU it just doesn't really get me excited.

I'm only okay with Sony doing their tangential thing as long as they are making good movies that mostly coordinate with the Feige and the MCU. If not, just give it up and sell it to Disney. I've always considered both Sony Producers Avi Arad and Amy Pascal to be borderline idiots who simply shoot darts at a dart board and hope for the best. They both think they are pretty special though.

Honestly I enjoyed FATWS. I certainly liked it more than Wanda. None of these shows are perfect and Falcon definitely had the biggest flaws but I guess it certainly didn't ruin it for me.

I assume Madame Web is a Sony product. I’ve read people are freaking out because the same people who wrote Morbius are handling that project too.

Rut Roh.... I didn't realize that. Madame Web does have a different director, but after some research, does in fact have the exact same writing team, not to mention tweedle dee (Pascal) and tweedle dumb (Avi Arad) as producers in some capacity steering the ship. That writing teams whole filmography is atrocious....... smh.

I liked FATWS after the 2nd time. It works a lot better if you can watch the episodes right after each other. I think the week-long break between episodes made people forget the action scenes and could only remember the boring bits.

And now that Morbius has been released, our worst fears have been realized. Sony has distributed a film that is so breathtakingly terrible, and so excruciating to watch, that it could be mistaken for one of the 10 plagues of Egypt. I truly believe that Morbius’s opening weekend is the three days of darkness foretold in the Bible.

I mean, tell us how you really feel guy.
