As much as I want to say that, I'd still say the odds are against it doing that, especially when it comes to international box office. Keep in mind that Avatar is still number one at a whopping and nearly untouchable $2.788 million international haul. Next closest movie to it is Titanic at a distant $2.187 million and an even much greater distance is the closest MCU to it with Avengers at $1.518 million. Shoot, that is practically only half of what Avatar did. Also, for all the box office breaking headlines Black Panther has pulled lately, keep in mind that pretty much all of those have been domestic numbers they've been talking about. Black Panther so far has only hauled in $1.302 million internationally.

So, moral of the story: odds are strongly against Infinity War unseating Avatar. Best case scenario in my mind is that it gives both Titanic ($2.187 million) and Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($2.068 million) a run for their money. However, I'd even puts odds against that. My guess is that it ends up #4 all-time at the box office.
Avatar was a surprise at the time, wasn't it?
Star Wars was a given, even though it wasn't very good.
10 years of buildup here. This one has a real chance at #1 domestically and around the world.
I'm already working on ways to see it a 2nd time, which is a major time commitment for me and something I never do. Pretty sure the repeat audience on this will be massive just from anticipation and wanting to see whatever we all missed the first time.
There is no limit to the $ this thing will bring in.

Sorry to be "that guy" but I think you mean billion instead of million. Avatar made $2.788 billion
Haha good call. Surprised I screwed that up, but I did it throughout. Got it changed now.
Black Panther Blu-Ray release date is May 15.
Digital only release is May 8

Honestly that wouldn't be a bad lineup.

Speaking of Ant Man and Wasp, EW had some new images posted yesterday:Gonna call Ant Man and Wasp as surprise Marvel hit/moneymaker.
This is considering Avengers and Deadpool as money already in the bank.
Thought you guys might want to check out some merch I worked on for Infinity War, this stuff all for direct theater sales with concessions, some of it only overseas. The Iron Man head is a popcorn bucket and the gauntlet is a soda cup. Little figurines plug into soda cups.
