Watch out for Thor 4 spoilers. There's some set-footage making the rounds showing the filming of what appears to be a pretty humorous moment from the film. It doesn't appear to have anything to do with the plot, but I wish I would have avoided it.

One of the most annoying things about Ragnarok to me was that they gave away one of the best jokes "He's a friend from work!" during the TV commercials. I mean come on.

Disney CEO Bob Chapek on the future of Disney theatrical releases:

Typical turnaround for an MCU release from theatrical debut to blu-ray release was around 20 weeks (direct-to-digital is typically a week or 2 earlier than that).

That makes sense. I'd say about 2 month theater window makes a lot of sense. If you haven't seen a movie in the first 2 months now you aren't seeing it.

Disney films can at least sustain much longer theatrical window than most other movies from other studios. Therefore it benefits them to not bring it in too short, but I'd agree 2 months, or at a minimum 45 days probably makes sense for them. You make it too much shorter, you start to hurt yourself. The window should also depend on what the streaming release strategy is as well. A free drop on Disney+ after its theatrical window should have a little different strategy than when paired with a still fairly expensive ($30) day and date Premier Access release strategy.

I've found that to be pretty typical with most movie previews. Watching the movies themselves seem less funny because you've seen the funniest parts several times already in previews.

I avoid previews most of the time because I don't want to know all the details of the dang movie. Seems like they are getting worse about that lately.

I'll suffice with just the "teaser trailer" any day. Just pique my interest, don't spoil it all.

Yeah, for the most part I limit myself to simply watching the first teaser is all. Sometimes I refuse to even watch that. I've had way too many previews spoil the movie for me.

I watch the first teaser that comes out and then stop. I’ve purposely not watched a Black Widow trailer for like a year and a half.

I’ve really enjoyed the What if and Loki trailers through. Like once a week lately lol

My problem with it is people are going to see these movies. You don't need to give away the best stuff. They did a great job with endgame basically giving nothing away but showing us some chill moments. Hope they continue to do that for every movie.

Sony's Silk TV show Phil and Chris Lord are producing is apparently going to stream on Amazon Prime. Adaeline Rudolph is being eyed for the lead. Partnering with Amazon makes sense since Sony doesn't have its own major streaming service. It will be interesting how much or if this show ties in with the other Sony movies or the MCU.

So how is Sony going to screw this up?

Such a good show and yet so many questions going forward...
