it better not be Scott....We've all seen this movie play out. Something sinister is hitching a ride home with that dirt. Alien eggs, hypnotoads, flesh-eating viruses, Canadians, something.

Southern Minnesota.Well the temperature range for that area is something like 70 F to -100F. So kind of like Minnesota.
Drone copter info.
Does anyone else find the anthropomorphism of the rover a little annoying given this is a science mission? "Give birth." Give me a break.
And power it without fossil fuels for a year, but we can't keep the US blackout free.
Hmm, they have been saying this is the first rover to have a microphone to record sound. So how would the Curiosity video be able to have sound? Is the video doctored up?
Not sure if this has been shared yet. To steal a line from Chris Williams.
“I find that fascinating”
My buddy from ISU worked for the JPL after finishing his PhD in EE. Was working with ultrasound for the Mars probes. My baby brother started working for JPL just over a year ago. More of a project manager than an engineer. He says the excitement this past week has been out of this world. (My pun, not his.) I'm jetting home (haha, another one) ASAP to catch the landing.
Thank you - I'll be here all week. Be sure to tip your wait staff.
I have heard that they want to send humans to Mars in 2030. Just wait until around 2050 when we try to colonize it and the aliens don't let us. "Nope, sorry. You f#cked up your own planet, we're not letting you f#ck up this one." And no, I am not joking. It looks like they want to try for 2026 and have them return to Earth by 2031.

And I believe not actually sounds from mars because Curiosity didn't have a microphone. That is an awesome video...but just to be clear, that is the Curiosity rover.
Yep, it's being powered by nuclear energy, the ticket away from fossil fuels. And power it without fossil fuels for a year, but we can't keep the US blackout free.
