Called his *** out today on twitter, his response..."nice face"

Such a coward
The print version of the Gazette periodically runs a 3"x5"picture and quotes of Morehouse something like "It's an honor to cover Iowa football the last 17 years" blah blah blah.....He is the most thin-skinned writer out there

Marc Moronhouse is just a fan with a degree in journalism. If you can't keep it classy find a new job as a writer for HN. Even CWilliams who is a Cyclone Fanatic has the ability to be realistic and unbiased about why our team loses. He will mention the refs (and sometimes it is) but always lists the other and usually more weighty reasons why we lost a game.

CW DEFINITELY has bias and he shows it, but it doesn't matter. His job is at Cyclone Fanatic. He's not a journalist for what is supposed to be an unbiased news publication.

When it comes to some of the posts on this site and the articles they read, its like being told a story, then you tell the same story to the next person who tells it to another person and so on. By the time you get through a number of posts you are sure the guy clearly spelled out the refs cost Iowa the game. But if you take the time to read the article, he said the call hurt Iowa, which it did, but he never said it was the wrong call.

I think someone accused Morehouse having thin skin, but compared to some posters here his sking is as thick as shoe leather.

You called somebody out on twitter and he's the coward?

When you have said the things he's said publicly about the only reason Iowa losing being because of the officials. Absolutely.

Do you think Georges is a coward for saying the stuff he does on twitter also? Or is it okay, because he looks good in your profile picture? I simply told Morehouse he's a sore loser like the majority of Hok Nation. Get over yourself, bud.

I don't know if thin skinned is the right word but he surely can't lose with the same class he wins with. Guy is a total homer and it's fun seeing him fall into the same shoe's as every other Hok fan after a loss like that. Blaming that game on one bad call is crazy, we controlled 3 quarters of that game and if it weren't for a fumble on the goal line we win by 10. Hawks have lost more games in the last 10 years as double digit favorites than any other team in the country. Comedy

I have yet to see where he said it was a bad call. It is fair to say it had a big impact on Iowa's D.. because it did.

I'm just going to put this out for everyone....you know when you read posts from hawkeyenation where they call ISU the "clowns" and when reading that, you immediately just assume that the person is a mouth-breathing jackwagon because they have fallen to insulting just our name? Yeah, those of you that use 'hoks' get the same reaction, even from me, an ISU fan. So if you're going for the perception of moron, keep it up. If you actually want to have an intelligent conversation, prolly stop.

He doesn't. He very carefully avoids calling it a bad call himself while quoting multiple hawks who thought it was a bad call.[/QUOTE
So in the article where he actually says it was the right call means nothing?

The point that he wrote about a single call from all the calls made in the game is sort of proof that he thinks it was a bad call.

Had Iowa State lost by a field goal, do you really think he would have written an entire article about the Pass Interference call against Iowa that was picked up? That was a huge call that negatively impacted Iowa State.

I think had that happened, all that would have been written about that was a single sentence in a paragraph buried deep in the game story.

Why was there a need for both the Gazette AND the Register to write a separate story about one single call of the game?

The fact that we're spending this much time and effort over Marc freaking Morehouse is a bit ridiculous. My bad for wasting time on this guy. Let's all move on

Where does he say that? I must have missed it.
The very first paragraph where he discusses the call. He says what basically everyone on this site has said about calls for this penalty. It's tough, a lot of the time the guy is going for a football play, but according to the rules it is a correct call. Sorry, but unless he edited his article you guys really are making a mountain out of a molehill here. Morehouse is writing a decent article. It's ok for him to be a little on Iowa's side, he's supposed to be the guy who covers Iowa right? This wasn't "it was the wrong call, Iowa got robbed" it was "well, I understand why it was a penalty by rule but I still don't like it" which is what fans of every team say when this penalty is called against them.

Whether Morehouse was an actual jackwagon in his article or he just came off/was interpreted as such, this thread delivers for him everything he wants and more. We're discussing his article and causing more clicks on the page. We're giving him his paycheck and he's got a big smile on his face, and he couldn't care less what he's being called on this site.
