Yes! I just got back from three weeks in Australia and New Zealand to wake up from a 13 hour jet lag sleep to my friend texting me that Manning is gone. Christmas came early for me!

Devils advocate here but what plays are good on 3rd and long consistently, short pass plays are like running draws in the same situation. Better than throwing a pick with a qb that tends to throw them.

People need to remember Campbell is a conservative coach by nature so those calls didn’t surprise me at all.
Yes, all of our opponents have figure that out as well.

Which is why they know we won't take risks in the red zone, which makes defending us down there ridiculously easy.

You can't play conservative as an underdog with less talent.

CMC knew that in 2017 and 2018, can he remember that in 2023?

I just learned Manning was Campbell's best man.

Never hire your friends. Best friends especially. I feel bad for Campbell for having to endure the toxicity that sprang up this season surrounding one of his best friends in life… but when things go south, it tends to makes things a little more personal.

There’s always something to hate. 3rd and long draw play was fun.

Inability to score in the red zone is usually caused by a poor running game. Not “risk taking”.

kyle is ok but we need a big time name
We need a guy who’s offense was #1 in the Mac or MW and has the experience of being an OC for awhile at said school. We do not have the money for big time names. If that happens I’ll be shocked we ain’t rich, but we ain’t poor either.

QB’s usually don’t call the plays, or control who’s open, or were X was running(back to calling plays). Not to mention the time the OL gave him.

This shouldn’t have to be said but there is more than 1 receiver running a route. When the QB panics and picks the wrong one, that’s not on the OC.

I do think Manning had to go, but we are kidding ourselves if we think Dekkers has what it takes between the ears to be the answer.

I worry about this some, but that's also on the coordinator. If your system is too complicated you need to simplify it.

I don’t think complication was the issue. College playbooks are known for not overly complex. I guess I just don’t get why so many are sold on Dekkers. What happens if he struggles the same way under the next OC? You could blame Campbell I suppose, but Purdy did pretty well under his system for 4 years.
