Man Colds

Had the ‘Rona three weeks ago. That involved 5 days of low-grade fever, fatigue, and headaches.

Also annoying was what I referred to as the “5% cold” that persisted for two more weeks. Not major congestion, but a nose runny enough to be annoying. For two GD weeks…

Yeah I’ve had that **** twice. The headaches and general unwell feeling are the pits. It does hang on for awhile. Glad you’re on the mend.

I picked up the flu I think a few weeks back and I forgot how much I hate being sick until that moment. That lasted about 10 days but I only hated everything and everyone for about 3 days.

Currently on day 2 of fighting a cold. Been sucking on cough drops and busted out the Vicks. Please keep me in your thoughts.

Traveling with BIL who is hacking and coughing and taking meds like they’re going out of style. Damn I’m afraid I’m gonna get sick now.

It sucks to get a man cold as winter is fading in the rear view mirror, but I discovered something that provides great relief for sinus infection or just congested sinus pain. It's the NeilMed Sinugator. It shoots distilled water up one nostril and it comes out the other, flushing out all the awful crud in my sinus.

I know sinus irrigation has been around forever, but I have finally stumbled upon it and it has brought me some sweet relief from the awful symptoms.

Whats everyone's go-to OTC to get you through the deathly man cold? I've actually had good luck with Dayquil.

I have a high tolerance for pain, but I'm a total wuss when I get sick. Just had covid last week and then I had to go to the ER a couple times this week for stomach issues and severe anxiety. The other day I kept telling the lady at the front desk that I couldn't breathe and that my left arm was numb. They said "I'll go in the back and tell the nurse." Nobody even checked on me and it took 4 hours until they finally called my name. You could die in that waiting room and it would take a long time for anyone to even notice.

They gave me a script for nausea and another for stomach pain. They seem to be working, I think.

Let me know when you are standing outside the ER early in the morning and when you buzz to get in they ask you what’s wrong and they tell you that you aren’t that bad and just call after 8 and schedule a clinic appointment. At that point, you lose a bunch of faith in that ER.

US healthcare is atrocious.

I almost always just roll with it. Sometimes I will take Mucinex but cold medicine makes me feel goofy and I really don't find it super beneficial.
