Stats don't lie but they can certainly be manipulated to support someone's point...Kansas got that ranking by playing against the powerhouses of N. Colorado, UTEP, Duke, and S. Miss.
Point still stands that Arob and company haven't burned a team with a solid D. Doesn't mean there won't be a victory this Sat. though.
While overall our offense had a horrible game against Iowa, you can't just ignore the fact that A-Rob still had 100 yards on 19 carries in that game (Arnaud also had 56 yards on 9 carries). The lopsided score against the Hawkeyes had much more to do with Arnaud's 4 INTs than with our running game getting shut down.
Now take into account that Arnaud and the passing game got on track on Saturday & I think there is reason for Cyclone fans to be confident. That being said, there's no guarantee that the offense fires on all cylinders in consecutive weeks. It's still a new system & I anticipate some growing pains as the year goes on. Also, as talented and tough as A-Rob is, he's still just one play away from sitting on the sidelines. Groin injuries are notoriously fickle & tricky to deal with.
