Hypothetical situation they're both FA's after this year. You're an NFL GM and have a chance to sign one for the next 10 years. Who are you taking?

I don't watch the NFL much anymore. But I get the sense that Mahomes has certainly peaked. And Allen is just figuring it out.

Not sure how accurate I am.

Mahomes probably has peaked as far as stats go. But that has more to do with the talent around him being lesser than what Allen has. Mahomes is still the better QB.

It’s so hard to choose. I like Allen because of his stature but think Mahomes is built for the long run. If it’s for the rest of their career I’d go Mahomes. More short term like next 5 years probably Allen.

Allen. Mahomes is the best when it comes to improvising, scrambling and making something happen out of nothing but Allen is the complete package IMO. Mahomes has also had the benefit of better weapons with Kelce and Hill (until this year) that Allen hasn't.

They are both great. Mahomes is 2-0 against Allen in the playoffs. He’s been to two Super Bowls and won one. Four straight AFC championships.

Allen has never been to the Super Bowl, since thus far he hasn’t been able to get by the Chiefs.

It’s close, but Mahomes. It’s hard to overstate how much of the Chiefs success is due to him improvising and making something out of nothing.

Allen has the next decade to show he is better.

Mahomes has already won a SB and played in 2. Has won some big games and made plays when it counted the most. Allen is a great QB but Mahomes has won when it counted so for that reason its an easy pick to take Mahomes for me. Brady was not always the guy people liked or thought was the better talent but he's the GOAT because he wins when it matters and so far Allen needs to do that in the playoffs before I'd say he belongs in the same conversation as Mahomes.

It's really, really close. I think Mahomes is the better QB but Allen's running ability is tough to pass up. I like Allen for the next 5 years but Mahomes for the 5 after that

Maybe, but MVP and Super Bowl champ is literally the peak of the mountain football. It’s hard to say someone has peaked when their peak is the top.

I don't want Mahomes' crazy ass wife hanging around the luxury suites during games, I'll take Allen.
313-150 + 184-92 + 129-58 + 38:15-21:45 = 10-7

I was able to catch a Broncos game from a corporate partner luxury suite at Mile High/Empower Field a few years ago. You want a crazy ass player's "wife", check Von Miller's ex-fiance. Yikes.

Mahomes numbers are definitely better, but it probably helps that he took over a team that had been in the playoffs regularly for the previous 4 or 5 years as opposed to Buffalo.

Please. Mahomes is no Eli Manning.
313-150 + 184-92 + 129-58 + 38:15-21:45 = 10-7

Yeah that's kind of my point. The whole "he couldn't beat him H2H in the playoffs" thing is just silly IMO. There's a lot more that goes into a Bills v. Chiefs playoff game than just QB play. To use that as a gauge as to who the better QB is nonsense. Just like saying Eli was better than Brady because he was 2-0 in Super Bowls is nonsense.

It's Mahomes IMO. He has better arm talent. Both are great though and I'm excited to watch them battle for the top spot for the next 5 years.
