Looking Forward To Positivity Returning Monday

We have had the weekend to b**** and complain, now it’s time put it in the past and move on. We can’t change the past but we can be hopeful about our future. Let’s give the new staff our support and welcome them to the Cyclone family. Time for the next chapter in the Cyclone legacy.
I say Cyclone, you say Power
I could not agree more!! AND, let’s be much more thoughtful about comments that might cause some of the really solid players to begin in making bad decisions that they and we will regret. Being more mature and aware of what possible negative consequences could come from our behavior can help the new staff get better results and show our players how much we love on them and on ISU!

My happiness in life does not revolve around ISU athletics so I've already gone through all 7 phases of grief and moved on. Coach Rogers is our guy, he WANTS to be here so we need to get behind him. The sooner the better. He has a tall task ahead of him replacing a popular and most winning coach in program history and hopefully he can develop some relationships quickly with the current players and limit the departures as much as possible.

What is done is done and can't be reversed. CMC left us and left a huge vacuum to deal with right now with trying to keep as many recruits and players as possible while having a fanbase that is rattled right now and just had a bowl game taken from us too. We can all either keep playing the blame game and think the sky is falling or we can regroup and all dig in with positivity and not keep letting the boat take on more water. I'm sure players read this site and follow social media and having a fanbase that is is not putting up a positive front is not helping matters.

There will be lessons to be learned by all when the dust settles. From what has come out and if in fact any part of it is true Pollard will have to look in the mirror at how he could have handled things and make some changes himself and I also don't doubt that CMC's hands are not entirely clean in this either when it comes to communication and transparency either. What is done is done though and we can't change that but going forward we have a clean slate now and how the administration, coaching staff, players, and plans proceed is crucial for how things are going to look going forward. If we can't move on and get on the same page then this moment in program history is going to take longer than we all would like it to recover and get back to the level we have become used to the past 10 years.

I'm prepared to deal with the worse case scenario when it comes to players leaving but also holding out hope that Coach Rogers and staff is able to develop some relationships in short time with the players and sell their vision that we have a few surprises return for next season. Again, I'm trying to focus on the positive not the negative as negativity usually replicates at a faster pace than positivity does.

I've lurked for years on this site, but I finally signed up today because I was getting so, and I'll say this nicely, upset with my fellow Cyclones. Hilton Magic wasn't built on tearing the other team down, it was built on standing up, cheering, and being loud for our team when they needed it. I lost my sleep, my deep seeded fear of seeing this all fall apart rose up too but then I watched Coach Rodgers introductory conference at Washington State-full of emotion, and another podcast by a former teammate about him. I said this on another post and I'll say it here. Coach Rodgers was a Cyclone long before he became a Cyclone. Let's go!!!!

Hell yea!

Coach Campbell and his staff brought unprecedented success to this program, and he stayed longer than almost anyone had a right to think possible, and on top of that, in the end he left for personal reasons as much as anything.

So I've moved on, fully and completely, and I'm just hopeful to see some guys stay, and excited to see how the new staff fills out and how they fill out the roster too. Should be a more entertaining offseason than you usually get
