3, 3, A for me. I can live with 2 or 4 on either toast or steak, but would refuse the other numbers. I don't drink coffee much, but if I'm going to I never put any sweetener in.

I have tried rare & medium-rare steak and hated the flavor, plus was pretty grossed out by the pinkness of the meat. If that's "true steak flavor" then I am not a fan of steak. I also don't want to eat a steak (or really any meat beyond cold cuts on a deli sandwich) that's cold, and most of the time the center of a rare steak is going to be. I'd like to think I have a soul, though.

It is also fascinating to see how many of the answers here are 2 or 3 when you know that doesn't sync at all with what restaurants see when people order there.
Ha, I wasn't being serious with the no soul part. My wife likes hamburgers cooked completely done and I've been around others who prefer done.

A lot of people marinade or season steaks when they don't even need to. Salt is the only thing that is needed that will bring out the juiciness and flavor. But, I get it, not everyone has the same palate and that's what makes us all unique.

Yeah, I've been to a restaurant where I ordered medium and they brought it to me still purple. The center still seemed slightly cold.

Kind of surprised by the # of "no coffee" guys. It is nice to see most of the coffee people don't just use it as a cream and sugar vehicle.

Are any of these people also not drinking energy drinks or caffeinated soda or tea? Any "zero caffeine" people?

I tried no caffeine when I was serious about distance running and it was torture to get through a few months for me.

I’m back on coffee after quitting it for a few months. Quitting caffeine was harder than quitting lung darts for me, and I smoked those putrid things for more than 25 years.

I don't drink caffeine, don't like any drinks that have it. I used to drink way too much pop and tea, I had some stomach issues and had to quit it all, after things were resolved, none of it tastes good. I'll have a sprite every now and then but I prefer water.

I'm a Diet Coke person, 2 per day (1 in morning, 1 at lunch). My rationalization is that I don't smoke and only drink occasionally, so it's the one "vice" I allow myself. Wish I could get into coffee as my caffeine fix, but I have tried multiple times to "acquire the taste" and just can't stomach it. Also, I really don't like hot drinks as they always burn my mouth. Definitely would be healthier to drink coffee than pop, just not for me though.

I've also tried zero caffeine when I've had longer times to wean off of it, but even weeks later I was still really dragging in the afternoon and dealing with occasional headaches so I ended up resuming, and then it's a vicious cycle at that point.
