Learn from Tech -- respect Kansas

I would be very disappointed if the Clones don't come out looking for blood next week. This is a game they have to win, it is at home, KU is beyond horrible, it is a definate 'Just do It' game. KU is really bad at defending what ISU does best, run the ball. Not sure KU does anything right offensively.... All CPR needs to do is show the tape of last year's CU game to the players to remind them of what happens if you don't come out ready to play every game.

Plus this is a good time to beat the hell out of them so we can convince recruit that if they have 2 options between going to ISU and KU, they'd know in a second which school to go.

I can't tell you how many times I've heard that Minnesota and Kansas are in a class all by themselves in the running for worst BCS football team this year.

It looked like Tech thought ISU was just as bad. 3 barely non-con wins and 4 conference losses. It felt like they looked at each other and said "Huh? What are they trying to do? Whatever, we'll still beat them easily". They continued to feel that way until it was too late.

I hope ISU doesn't "Tech" its way to a loss against Kansas.

Equally, please don't fire Gill this week. We can't afford to get "McCarney'd".

Don't you sell Indiana short on being the worst BCS team!!! They've worked damn hard to be in that conversation!

Kansas has been incredibly consistent on the road this year.. in their 3 road games they lost by 42, 42, and 43 points. The only question is whether we win by 42 or 43.. with this being a letdown game, my gut says we win by 42.

KU knows we're their best shot at a conference win we'll get their best shot. As for TT we beat them by 34 points it's a huge stretch to say we're 34 points better.

Tech beat Kansas by 11. We beat Tech by 34. Therefor, we will win by 45. We have a lot of cushion.

Unfortunately it does not work that way... you can not just do math of the margins of victory... case in point Tech beat KU by 11 and lost to KSU by 6. Are you saying that KSU is 16 pts better than KU --> KSU beat KU by 59 or something...

By that math we are 34 points better than Tech who is 6 Points Worse than KSU, who in turn is 59 points better than KU.... therefore we are 93 points better than KU... Laughable

And you say you are a civil engineer? I wouldn't have guessed in a million years.:jimlad:

By even better math, KU is 18 points better than McNeese State, who beat Delta State by 1 point. In Finance, a Delta value of 1 would indicate a long put and a short call, which could be valuable in determining a strike option.

Therefore, KU is likely to go on strike on Saturday. ISU wins by forfeit.

So you don't think we can beat Kansas by 93? If we don't turn it over I could see it being close to that.

If they wouldn't let off the gas, I'd say there are some teams that are 93 points better than KU. Statistically, they have the worst defense in the country. 120 out of 120 in most categories. Should be a great match up for us. We want to line up and run it and KU can't stop the run. Should be fun. KU has given up over 400 rushing yards to one team more than once. Sadly, the 441 Texas ran on them wasn't the most they've given up or even close..giving up over 600 rushing yards in one game is crazy. I am actually really surprised Gill still has a job.

The chances of KU making a bowl are at like 3%. They are going to try to take teams like Iowa State out. I'm pretty sure KU knows they can't beat the Oklahoma's or Oklahoma State's of the world.

KU does not know or care about ISU's bowl chances. It goes without saying they're going to try and take out Iowa State, did you think they'd come in trying to lose? What point are you even trying to make?

If ISU comes out as the less motivated team this Saturday, now that bowl hopes have been renewed, then that says a lot about Paul Rhoads.

For the always sunny fans, it feels like we're getting D.E.N.N.I.Sd. This week and next are part of the "Inspire hope" phase before the brutal "Separate entirely" ending.
