ok so we struggled early against NDSU, 3pt shooting, WOW bad. Last years team MAY have lost this game... this team has MUCH better composure and can overcome. Exciting year ahead???

yep, this team seems to see the urgency better than last year. they don't look at what it says on the front of the jersey maybe

That NDSU team defense was bad. We had sooooo many wide open threes. It looked like it was almost starting to get into our heads that we were so wide open that we needed to hit them.

No, last years team would not have lost this game. They may have needed to come back from a double digit deficit, but they wouldn't have lost.

It is nice to see them struggle from 3 and still dominate the at the end. I think that first half might be the worst half in Hilton this year. That's at testament to how good we will be. Can't wait to see how burton fits in with this squad. Last thought, the Hilton experience is near flawless but I think they should put up a more tvs outside so I don't have to miss any action while waiting for a walking taco. It quite common at pro arenas

This team plays so much better D and really can get after it when needed.

This team is also sooooooooooooooo good when the get to passing the ball around and getting everyone involved that way. The shots seem to go down a lot better when the ball moves. When this team struggles is when someone goes down and throws up a 3.

I think this year's team is better. I love, love, love, the addition of Hallice Cooke off the bench. He reminds me a bit of Jake Sullivan. Monte hasnt taken a big scoring role, but Nader has, and I think he's giving us more than BDJ was last year. I've been really stoked about the team once they cut down the TOs.

We're ahooting exactly the same clip we did last year from 3 and 5 percent better inside the arc. Feel that our defense is better this year. But tough to tell this early...not a soft schedule by any means, but no real tests yet.

We will never know but that's not to far fetched. usc and Maryland on neutral floors and don't forget about tech. Obviously Maryland wasn't a bad loss but just stating this team had struggles outside of hilton

No doubt they struggled but they seem to be more focused this year. Looking back just maybe that UAB game will pay some dividends this year. In this game I wish they would have zoned earlier because North Dakota's offense of just weaving, running in circles and cutting to the basket pretty much stopped. Oh, and I am very thankful Mr. Niang is ok.

lol no, no, and no. This thread gone stoopid.

Actually I don't disagree. Last years team may not have lost but they would have been down by double digits in one of those prob. When last years team got lazy and weren't shooting well they would get down double digits. This years team actually plays D and rebounds better and that is making this years team much better IMO. This team is beginning to learn that defensive stops fuels their offense and it's teams like that who can also score from all 5 positions with relative ease are teams that have great great years.

What is really exciting me and intriguing me about this team is the fact we have a player sitting on the bench who we will add in a couple weeks..adding to our already good team.
