last minute help needed!!!

2 weeks ago I promised my wife I would make reservations for a good restaurant on NYE. Needless to say I f'd up and forgot. None of the good restaurants in the Des Moines metro like centro and splash have anything left. Does anyone have any suggestions that can prevent me from sleeping on the couch to start 2013?

I dont want to assume the worst. If they went to a later dinner, then he hasnt even been missing for 24 hrs yet.

love the concern by my fellow posters. CF is so much more than a place for us to b!tch about football.

First I was ****** cuz every place I called either failed to answer the phone or had a self-claimed "voice mail issue". The only place I did get through to was the Cheesecake Factory. The young lady that answered the phone predicted a 20 min. wait. I nearly told her she was full of ***** but figured she sounded so young that she may not have even been working at this time last year.

Unfortunately I didn't even think of going the sushi when going through the posts. The wife loves that cold crap and I would rather suffer through bad food than a ****** wife.

Ultimately I was saved by my charm, the promise of a movie, and that she had found a lettuce wrap dish at the Cheesecake Factory that she really liked. The hardest part was the charm cuz I was disgusted with the game as much as everyone else here. But I was able to disarm her with a couple jokes.

As for the posted recommendations... we really like Hu Hot but she likes the idea of doing something a little out of the ordinary for NYE. My wife is an awesome cook and she made lamb chops on Christmas so I wasn't going to bring up the "you cook" idea. She has an awesome steak marinade so steak houses no longer have their same appeal.
