Holy smokies that seems high.
That is what Wolfe quoted mine. I had it 3 weeks ago there and am loving it! My eyes are still adjusting to reading up close, which the doctor said that is normal since I was pretty nearsighted (my script was -5.75 one eye and -4.25 in the other). He said my muscles in the eye would need to adjust. Far away vision is awesome. I just need to stay on top of drops. If I don't, my vision gets a bit blurry.

Not exactly sure.

I did mine 20 years ago. (The Day that Iowa broke our 5 year win streak). $499/eye. My scripts were -8.5 to -9.00.

Glad to hear it went well for you.

I am getting my right eye "touched up" on Friday June 16. I'll be getting rid of my current monovision and will need cheaters for now on out. I already use cheaters for reading anyway.
I absolutely hated monovision, I had to wait about 4 months before I could et it corrected.

Any dry eye issues in the medium and long term recovery? My biggest hesitation is having to carry drops for the rest of my life (32 years old today)
I can't speak to long term dry eye yet, but mine has gotten lots better. This week is a bit rough but I am switching back to preservative free drops to see if that helps. I am not sure if it is more related to the smoke in the air.

I used drops for a couple of months and then didn't feel the need to use them. The majority of the time I did feel the need to use them was after riding the motorcycle.

I had mine done about 4 years ago ($4500 total)…I have to use cheaters but knew that going in (I was over 50). Best money I’ve spent. My prescription was -6.50 and -7.00

I don’t carry any. My eyes have started getting dry but I’m 51 and that seems to happen to everyone as they age.

I have my consultation next week. Anyone have the surgery and regret it? Is it worth $2500/eye that Wolf quoted me for everyone who has had it?
I did Lasik in January (local place in Columbia MO, -5.5 in each eye) and the normal price was $2500 per eye less 15% discount for having Medical insurance with one of their “preferred insurance companies”, less another $500 for a “Holiday Special”. Out the door with the required post op checks was $3,750. If I had to guess you should at least get the 15% discount and they’re still making a bunch off the surgery. And yes, the surgery is well worth it! I’ve had glasses/contacts since I was 8 and it was amazing how the next morning I didn’t have to put contacts in.

I’m the same age, I just needed drops for about a month post op. I haven’t used or needed drops since.

I tried monovision with contacts first - not for me- Doc said I don't really have a strongly dominate eye which makes sense since I am ambidextrious
