La'Michael Pettway Comparisons

Larry Fitzgerald? Good lord man.

Physical, uses his body well, good hands, faster than he looks. So what am I missing?

The closest Cyclone comparison that I can come up with is Ike Harris. With only one year, LP won't match the school hall of fame and pro career that Ike had, but the playing style and skill sets have some things in common.

Anquan Boldin. Big body, not much high end speed, but a solid possession receiver who can rack up YAC with the best of them. Pettway likely doesn’t end up with a prolific NFL career, but to me he compares to Boldin.

Yeah, I like that comp. Not the tallest or fastest guy, but physical as hell. I don't know what kind of NFL career he'll have, but he will get a shot somewhere. Arkansas fans said he had some issues with drops, but we sure haven't seen it. He's been catching pretty much everything...way more dependable than Butler and Lazard in that aspect, although with Purdy spreading the ball around, he wasn't getting as many targets as they did and was probably getting more balls when he was open vs covered like HB and AL.

He's been an excellent pickup as a grad transfer. Seems like a good kid and good teammate as well.

I think he’s proven to have more sure hands than both Allen and Hakeem. Haven’t noticed many drops from him. Those other 2 guys, despite their talent, had the most infuriating drops throughout their career.

I think Pettway gets a shot in the NFL.

I think he’s proven to have more sure hands than both Allen and Hakeem. Haven’t noticed many drops from him. Those other 2 guys, despite their talent, had the most infuriating drops throughout their career.

I think Pettway gets a shot in the NFL.

His speed will be the question. Actually not really sure how fast he is. Maybe he is faster than I think, but with his size I can't see him being real fast. Anyone got a 40 on him?

In all seriousness, seeing Arkansas at 2-9 and 0-7 in the SEC makes me think he probably feels pretty good about his decision. Plus he was way underutilized in that offense at Arkansas.

Lz’s work ethic and attention to detail are why he has had a chance at next level. I suspect La’Michael may use that mode; to get to the league.

I love it when people can’t understand the concept of comparing player styles or frames without claiming that the talent level is the same.

This. I suspect that some people just don’t know that “compare” does not mean “equate”.

Reminds me of Santonio Holmes a little bit. Pettway also has better speed than people are giving him credit.

I've always said he reminds me of Cris Carter. Strong possession type receiver with decent size, but not overly tall.
