in Cyclone lore, what games are instantly tied back to one name and people know what you are talking about?
I can think of 2, but i'm sure there are more.
December 19, 1987 is the Lafester game 102-100 over Iowa
November 14, 92 was the Marv Seiler game. 19-10 over Nebraska

Steele. Hawk slayer
Seneca. The run

Monte's "teardrop" shot to beat Iowa (who lead by...20+?? at half) was a night to remember...
just as notable is his game winner against Texas though.

The thing with these 'name games', is that it is typically going to be someone playing far and above their standard, avg or level of impact.

I was trying to think of the Niang game, but that's probably when he got hammered on his eye in the tournament, but that's not really associated with the game or game outcome.

Yeah...I get that...but the Iowa game in question was one that 95+% of Hilton attendees were positive the game was lost by halftime! That game stands out...but not just because if Monte you are right...but that shot was sweet! And the reaction was awesome!

one I think about a lot, too often, that most would not i think...UCLA sweet 16 game in 1996....Willoughby made 8 threes, if Cato could have tipped that shot at the end, very good chance we would have been in the final four....
