I bought a set of four tickets on September 25. The section we are in has zero sets of four tickets available. In order to compare prices I looked at the sections next to the section we are in. The sets of four tickets available in the nearby sections are more expensive now than what we bought in September.

This is StubHub only. Haven't shopped around.
Ok….. but saying that you’d have to pay $87-115 MORE for worse seats is just flat out wrong when you can buy a ticket for $50. Unless you bought your tix at negative $30 which is a steal

What is $50 getting you? Upper deck 30th row? Have fun up there.

Your point was that seats worse than what you got were $87-115 more than what they were. Upper deck 30th row would in fact be worse than what you got. I don’t think $50 is more expensive than what it was a month ago

Maybe ticket prices have gone up in 1 section but they’ve moved down a lot as a whole

I didn't answer this question in my first response.

$50 (right now) is getting anyone who wants INSIDE of Arrowhead. with 30K+ unsold seats currently, all you need to do is get inside.
By 11/9 it will be under $20 to get in and there will still be 30K unsold seats.

So what is the benefit of using other sites beyond ticketmaster, that sells the tickets directly from the university like ISU does?

While I have used other sites for secondary ticket sales, I dont understand using those when there are still tickets available from the University Ticket office, unless you are looking for specific tickets, in specific areas.

At this point secondary market tickets are usually higher than direct tickets, until the game gets closer and people start trying to dump their tickets for whatever they can get, if there are a lot available still.

For instance I picked one section (109) on Ticketmaster thru the Cyclones.com link, and it had many more tickets well over 100 seats available. Stub hub only has 35 tickets available in that section, and most other sections are the same, with ticketmaster having far more available. Because they only have the resale tickets, and for the most part fees at all these sites are similar.

Here is 109, on Ticketmaster where stubhub only has 35 tickets available:

Everyone has their own reasons but IMO your picture shows exactly why not to buy anytime soon. This is just one section but the majority of the stadium looks like this. KU probably won’t lower these prices so they’ll remain available up until and AFTER kickoff. The situation won’t be any worse next Saturday than it is today.
Secondary tickets were bought at these same prices OR even less so the sellers are more motivated to move them so there will be fluctuation. There are secondary tickets well below face value and while they may not be in this exact section there’s PLENTY of room for someone to buy a ticket for under $60 and sit wherever they want.
And on top of that, I’m not paying a DIME to KU by buying their tickets for this crap they’re trying to pull over on Cyclone fans

Well, for those of you who want to get your ticket situation settled and make sure that you are sitting in an Iowa State donor section, I ordered 4 tickets through the ISU donor presale, but now I'm not able to go. I'll sell them at face value. $100 per ticket.

And no, I don't know the location yet. The ISU Ticket Office keeps saying "any day," but they haven't yet released them.

No need to reply if all you are going to do is make the point again about waiting to buy tickets. I'm trying to take care of the folks who want certainty now.

This is what we were told in an email on 10/15:
"Thank you for ordering tickets to the Iowa State vs. Kansas football game taking place on Saturday, November 9 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

The initial allotment of tickets we received from the University of Kansas for this game were located in the 300-level corner/ends and were $100 per ticket. We have just recently been informed by the University of Kansas that we are able to secure a limited number of 100-level tickets located in Sections 104-109. The cost of these tickets is $200 each.
....
The ISU Athletics Ticket Office is currently finalizing seat locations and tickets will be provided electronically around 10 business days before the game takes place. The ISU Athletics Ticket Office will send information on how to access these tickets once they are available."
