Korn Concert

So what is so special about a Korn concert? I clicked around on some videos and the thing that was most impressive to me was the stage set up. I've never paid much attention to them, but I know people are really committed to them. I took an east coast flight a few years ago and half the plane were Korn groupies going to another concert. They all seemed to know each other.

It is a honest question. Not unlike my friends who ask me why I go to so many ISU athletic events. Sometimes, I just say it is what I like to do. Other times, I give more substantive explanation about what I like about our teams, but mostly it comes down to the fact that I really like college sports and I'm a homer for the Cyclones.

So what is so special to you about Korn?

Time and place. They were the first nu-metal/metalcore band to really break out. They also had a cool brand with Adidas tracksuits and the bagpipes.

Their hits take me back to a different time in my life.

Fan since the beginning. Timeless hits, energetic shows, constantly new albums, and a really impressive vocal range for Jonathan Davis.

Checking in. Opening band was...pretty meh. Couldn't hardly hear them due to the sound balance. Didn't care much for that (and their light setup was literally blinding, just pointing a ton of bright ass LEDs directly at head level of the fans).

Chevelle just got done, they were very good. Seen them 3 times I think, this one easily the best. I've always liked that they're pretty straightforward in their shows -- get up there, play a bunch of their big songs, not a lot of intermission or BS-ing. Mainly get up and do what they do best.

This'll be my first time seeing Korn -- waited years for them to come by when I could attend. Thrilled for it.

First time seeing Chevelle. Pretty impressive for a trio. Recognized a few of the songs, but the ones I didn’t were pretty solid too.

I went through the Nu-Metal phase in the late 90s but not sure if my ears can handle that kind of music anymore. The last concert I saw at WFA was Weezer and that was enough for my eardrums. Lol

Saw Chevelle at the fair one year. I've never really been into them but I remember they were good live, really heavy sound for 3 guys.

Code Orange was nothing special.
Chevelle was good, some of their stuff reminds me of Tool.
First time seeing Korn and they were…AMAZING!

according to this site this is what the set list was for each band. Can people confirm if this was the order?

Chavelle I only really know Red, Korn would only be Got the Life and Freak on a Leash

Had to just watch the 'Freak on a Leash" music video. Brings me back to those days, I had to be 14-15, waiting all day watching MTV to watch the video. At the time I thought it was the pinnacle of special effects.

Those setlists are accurate to what I recall from the show.

The Korn rendition of 'One' was awesome by the way. Didn't expect much from that and it was actually good.

Yeah. Wasn’t expecting to hear Queen and Metallica teases. And Bagpipes. Lol

I wouldn't find Korn appealing any more but good for these bands that keep it going.

That is a great site. I have some concerts coming up so it will be nice to know what to expect.
