JK...

Anyone else extremely excited about this dude? His length and athleticism jumps off the screen.

I hear you, but we've had a large # of players that have "developed" shots during their tenure. Naz, Matt, Monte, Niang, Curtis, and yeah, BRE!
At 18, Toure has plenty of room to develop
Agreed and look at Lipsey development offensively from freshman year to his senior year

Not loving how it happened to come up, but had some great flashbacks watching him today. He's gonna be a fun one to watch. His flashes are giving Tinsley or Stinson vibes.

His slash and flash was pretty smooth the more the game went on.

Way to step up mister.
I see some Tinsley in him for sure.

People have said this already, but i definitely dont see toure leaving after this year just because unless he is a surefire first round pick, like hali, he will be earning more in NIL then he would in say, the g league. Same goes for momcilovic. Getting Rinaldo-Komlan also helps.

Toure definitely has the frame and raw skills to be an nba player. Scouts are always looking at potential nowadays. If he has these early season results against Big 12 competition, he could be gone in 2, 3 or even 1 year. Don't forget that THT was a one and done.

And THT pretty much got on their radar in Maui. Toure is on the same trajectory after showing out at an NCE. The thing that I've seen from watching this a long time is that the NBA is about bodies. Do you have good or great positional size? Can you move well enough to defend NBA players at your position? And then are you athletic enough? Shooting doesn't matter as much...they can teach you enough there to be decent. Honestly, offensive ability is just a bonus. What they are looking for is quickness, length and jumping ability. Niang was a great offensive player, but he would not be in the league right now if he hadn't turned himself into a knock down outside shooter AND he improved enough defensively to at least not be a huge liability.

Toure has positional NBA size as a PG. Yes, his offensive game needs refined. His outside shot is inconsistent and he doesn't really have a pull up/floater game. He also isn't the passer that Monte or Haliburton were. But, he's well built for a FR and he moves his feet on defense as well as anyone I've seen at ISU. If he keeps playing like this through the conference season, no doubt he could be one and done. That said, by most accounts, this is the best freshman class in a long time. This draft is going to be super deep. That could push Toure into the 2nd round and would most likely lead to him coming back assuming we can afford him.
