For the love of god, let this thread die and move on. We may only have 72 hours left this season. We can spend the entire off season arguing about KG. Its **** Lipscomb time.
As I listened to Peterson, and all I hear were supposition and innuendo. No solid source, no specific information. My conclusion from the podcast was Peterson is retired and should stay that way. Some people don't know when to leave.Shredded? You went through a bunch of scenarios as fact and seemed to make a bunch of conclusions without evidence.
And do they reference any actual evidence that leads to it being an opt out?
Re: comparing Higgins to this situation: was Higgins hobbling around and unable to play more than a few series in football?
And lastly, Randy Peterson hahahahahahahahaha.
From a player personnel standpoint, it’s not like he would be taking a needed roster spot.I do have a little inside information just as to Keshon's character. He is a perfectionist and holds himself and his teammates to a very high standard.
If you can't play to your own standards even if cleared to play, that's extremely difficult if that's who you are.
I think speculating on what kind of guy he is here is completely out of bounds. He hasn't been healthy for almost 3 months. I don't care who you are that's just brutal.
I’d be all for that!I feel a lot of this falls on how TJ treats the importance of practice and preparation. If you have to soley rest to be ready physically for the next game TJ has a hard time planning rotations and doesn't trust Keshon will be ready.
Also, I've noticed the past few weeks Keshon has been "taking plays off", meaning getting beat on plays that he usually doesn't and hasn't hustled back on D. He is definitely not healthy. Has tried to push through.
This is a mutual decision between TJ and Keshon. I only imagine Keshon wanted to play in games and TJ wants full participation practice and games.
If I can strap on a tin hat for a second, I'd say maybe there's some gamesmanship saying Keshon is out for the rest of the year. We advance another week, Keshon recovers, can go through a full week of practice and comes off the bench in the Final 4.
There is no reply from the OP on KG, so he has nothing besides a drive by statement with no reason expect to disparage KG.KG played 43 minutes and had eight steals in our double-overtime game on March 4. But yes, he's only concerned about himself![]()
summary was Pete feels Key did what college football guys are doing and opted out of the ncaa tourney. He also asked “for what? A little money in the G league? He’s not going to be playing in the NBA is he?” He said that he is missing the best part of basketball that is March madness and CW said this may taint fans memory of him.Summary?

Is this just speculation from Randy Peterson? I'd be surprised if this were true. As of now, he's not projected to get drafted. By playing in the tournament he can only improve his draft prospects even if he's playing hurt. I do think there's more to this story than what we're hearing, but it's dangerous to start speculating. There is no reply from the OP on KG, so he has nothing besides a drive by statement with no reason expect to disparage KG.

He had 95% of his stories written before he got quotes to round it out. Ppl don’t get magically better as they age and retire.I did listen and you are a smarter person than me. I don't know what the other poster heard but he has nothing to bring to it.
KG has not improved his stock the last few months. Him putting in more time if not 100% doesn’t help him or ISU’s goals. Is this just speculation from Randy Peterson? Keshon is one of the best to come to ISU. We have been lucky to have him, watch him play, and call him a Cyclone. Forever.I do have a little inside information just as to Keshon's character. He is a perfectionist and holds himself and his teammates to a very high standard.

Randy retired, unretired now. Make up your mind.As I listened to Peterson, and all I hear were supposition and innuendo. No solid source, no specific information. My conclusion from the podcast was Peterson is retired and should stay that way. Some people don't know when to leave.

Haha, yes. We are not losing to Lipscomb. Miss. or UNC might be more of a challenge. If Lipscomb is our last game of the season, oooh boy.
How much is there to talk about Lipscomb? You a player who needs to be focused on the game or something?
You tore me to shreds in the other thread for suggesting this is anything other than injury related. Feel free to listen and come to your own conclusion.
Chris and Randy, who are both extremely close to the program, compared this to an opt out for a football bowl game.
Between TJs behavior and attitude towards this entire thing, and the reports from people extremely close to the program, think what you want...I could not care less. I for one am just bothered by the folks "thanking Keshon for everything."
Just think it is an important listen and dont mind giving Iowa Everywhere a plug.
