It saddens me that this has received way more press than today being the 50th anniversary of RFK's assassination.
She enriched herself via vanity. Yes, it's unfortunate that she felt strongly enough to do herself in but she's not some visionary that deserves all this attention. She made handbags and became famously wealthy. Only an out-of-whack, fanatically, religiously consumerist country like this would blow such a thing out of proportion.
