Ya since they're both 6'8 height and the 210-220 weight range... What was I thinking when I compared Yakwe's body length(nothing else) to a small forward that every knows?

Cripes, you have 22 total posts and half of them are in this thread with you being a pain in the ***.

If you are talking about efficiency then yes. Fred was an effecient Nba player and preaches to take smart shots as a coach which then results to hogue as an effecient player. Does hogue have the same nba 3 point shooting stroke as hogue? I'll let you figure that one out on your own.

Im going to say yes. :jimlad:

****** between the Hogue shooting discussion and people berating a guy for simply comparing two guys with similar length and build this thread is just full of hate. It's unbelievable.

Yakwe looks good though. Hope he chooses to come here and can help in our recruitment of Diallo too.

It's a 2016 recruit, probably going to get a lot worse than this before he commits one way or the other.

Players that height and weight are everywhere. McKay is 6'9 and 215 and everyone here knows him as well. So unless this kid can learn to master the useless pump fake from 25' two dozen times a game or the 1940's style set shot and then consider himself the best player in the country like White does.....there is no comparison.

I haven't read all of the comments, so it may have already been mentioned, but Yakwe visited a while back with Diallo. IIRC they have the same legal guardian. Yakwe is a very good player in his own right and was once talked up as being a top 30 player in his class. Lots of potential.

yep - same guardian.

IMO, the "package deal" that has been mentioned by recruitniks is less about Yakwe playing with Diallo if he is a two-year player, and more about a common guardian. If he likes ISU once, he probably likes ISU twice.

It would be nice to lock a couple of the '16 guys early. I feel pretty good about coffey and yake. If we could get those 2 early it might help with bridges, monk, and cook. if we get all 5(I know that won't happen) it would be a hell of a freshman starting 5

Last I knew we were one of the top choices including his dads favorite. I don't believe we cooled on him at all when we got injured. I also heard he wants to play more point and hoiberg is all about letting him, but some other coaches do want him to.

Settle down - just asking for clarification of what you were saying. No doubt he has struggled at the free throw line, but that is an entirely different animal, no? Game is completely stopped. Different pressures. Dustin's shooting improvements have followed along the same curve as Melvin Ejim's did. I see nothing wrong in using statistics when they are over the course of the entire season thus far. It's not a fluke.

He finally swallowed his toothpick and it hasn't been the same since.
