Why are we honoring Hollywood Higgins? He stunk. Its like the conference naming awards after Bowlsby

I disliked Hollywood at one time, but he was better than most especially late in his career. Honoring any official could pay off in good will from the officiating union, couldn't' hurt.


Much, much better crew today. Occasional bad calls each way, but at no time did I feel the altered the game.

He didn't hang on well past his prime like, uh, some other names you could mention.

But he did have the worst trait an official could have: the desire to be part of the game.
