There is no doubt in my mind KU scores easily on the first drive. There is some history on our end to support that.

I wonder if this pattern even bothers the coaching staff! I beginning to think it does not.

Can we just please be a little less predictable. Would go a long way in giving Rocco a better chance. He was under pressure instantly because they knew if the play was a pass or run pretty much every time

It's going to be a tough game, but our guys seem to harden their mentalities on the road. Our defense is really, really good. The offense just needs to get out of it's own find a way.

ISU offense has all of a sudden started turning it over a lot. Cut that out and ISU will be back to winning again.

I went over to KU's forum and just learned that they are building only half a new stadium. Phase 1 is where they currently are at, but phase 2 is the old seats below. Costs have ballooned to half a billion or some stupid number so they don't know when phase 2 will start. Gonna be a weird place to play until phase 2. ISU isn't currently scheduled to play in Lawrence until 2027 anyway

Both UCF and TTU had Rocco running for his life a lot. He's had very little time to let things develop. We need to get Hansen back to make our running game a legitimate threat, and open things up for Rocco. Sama had a good game last week, so hopefully he builds on that. That said, the defense has to tighten things up as well. The last drive for TTU was inexcusable. I know all of this is obvious to most, but my 2 cents.

I agree, teams are getting Rocco uncomfortable and doesn't have much time for whatever reason.

I would add that the last drive was inexcusable, but the 12 plays, 98 yd, 4 min Drive in the 3rd quarter was even worse.

That 'Hands to the Face" penalty which negated the interception was big, but not being able to stop them after that was awful.

I told my girlfriend when they started that drive "Watch, they will take it 98 yards and score." I felt like I was jinx to Iowa State all night long

To be fair I told my wife the same thing. I said here comes the 98 yard drive. Then we basically pulled the "hawkeye package" by getting a pick inside the redzone. whohoo, put a nail in these guys and go 8-0!
but quickly realized it turned into a 15 yard gain and a first down for TT from a dumb penalty, where it was officially confirmed they were going to march down the field and score.

FWIW- he leads NJCAA DI in passing yards per game at 316 which is about 55 more yards than 2nd.

Election results, Iowa State losing has done major damage my sense of humor a bit,

I think we will play really well against Kansas. The TT loss had to increase the urgency within the team and staff. I think we see that on Saturday. I personally hope we lose the coin toss so we can get the ball first. This kicking off and the other team scoring a TD to start the game is not a good look. I want a well scripted first drive by us that ends in a 7-0 lead.
