NFL: Kansas City Chiefs Thread

Saints signed Etienne so going to be interesting to see who takes Love now that 2 teams that were possibly interested have gone the free agent route to fill their RB need.
wonder if KC trades back now to try and pick up more capital?

I would think it would depend on who is still on the board when their pick at #9 comes up. According to the scale their pick at nine is worth 1350 points, the pick at say 15 is valued at 1050, so you have to get at least at least the 60th pick to make it even out.
I wonder if both NO and KC have heard rumors that Love will be gone before they pick and decided to sign a FA now to make sure they have someone either experience in the backfield.

They will have options on what direction to go at #9 depending on who is still there. Right now ESPN updated their mock draft after today and has us going CB with Delane from LSU. Could see them even looking at Downs from tOSU at Safety too since they lost Cook. With as many needs on the defensive side of the ball right now I am not sure they really want to use that pick on a WR unless Tate is still there but I think he's gone by 9. Could also see them trading down a few spots and picking up another pick in the 2nd or 3rd round and still being able to get a quality defensive player in the top 15 of the draft or they can also use some picks to move up from #29 too if someone falls enough that they want to move up to get them there too.

I think after losing McDuffie, Watson, and Cook that the secondary is going to be a big draft priority now. Also not sure what is going to happen with Leo Chenal so a LB is not out of the question either.

I think we’ll go DB or a pass rusher on both our first two picks. Would not be shocked if we take 3 defensive players in rounds 1 and 2.

Totally depends who is available, with the Rice situation still up in the air, I could see them going after a top flight WR if one of the top two are still on the board at nine. They could go WR at nine, and then at #29 do Dline or rush end and then get another at #40. I still would like to see them get one of the other backs at #74. Maybe Price or the kid from Arkansas would still be there for that pick. Rest of the picks, #109, #148, #169, #176 and #210 get depth all over the roster. KC has done a good job picking DBs in the later rounds. They need to hit on those first three picks.

I somehow missed the latest story on Rice. Man what is it with the Chiefs and players that allegedly abuse women? Hill, Hunt, now Rice... Geez what a mess the latest allegations are too

Accused of getting physical with his girlfriend or ex girlfriend. Now it could all be BS, but since he already has one scrap with the law after being in the league, the league will look into his behavior to find out the truth in this matter.
There were rumors about his conduct at SMU in college, that have now also come to the surface. Talented player without a doubt, but that does not give him the right to do crappy things.

Hopefully they didn't all get rid of their "Free 4" shirts.

Boy Andy Reid has great seats for the BYU game, sitting on the BYU bench with I would say is his grandson. Mahomes also had good seats, but nothing like Reid.

That's why they slide down to a team that has won as they have. They were risky picks to begin with. You just hope the veteran leadership and winning can keep them focused and their mind in the right place.
