NFL: Kansas City Chiefs Thread

Should be hearing something regarding Kelce's status this week you'd think as he said he was going to make a decision before free agency. I don't read much into this speculation as if he returns for another season I don't see it being for any team but the Chiefs. He loves playing for Reid and with Mahomes that I don't really think it's about finding the highest bidder. Between him and Taylor Swift it's not like they need any more money either. We'll see I guess but everything he has said up to this point hasn't lead me to believe he's interested in playing for another team.

If Kelsey comes back it will only be with the Chiefs, the idea that some are throwing out there that he may come back and test the FA waters and go to another team is wrong and stupid. If he decides to play another year it will be with Mahomes or he will retire and go on with his life. Guy doesn't need the money, hell it can make more by not playing and doing the pod cast with his brother full time.
It's KC or retirement, those are the two choices.

There goes the possibility of Breece.
Did Seattle not offer KW3 at all?

Would have rather had Love or Hall than Walker, but now they can shift over to defense for the draft. Wonder if they will be tempted to select one of the two WR if they are on the board or look for just D line help. With Watson signing for with the rams we are going to need at least 2 dbs, but KC has done well finding diamonds in the rough in that position. Would also like to see them use a lower pick on Price or the RB from Arkansas if they are around in the 3rd or 4th round.

DT Khyiris Tonga signed to a 3 year deal. Guess it's some help for the DL but he's not exactly much of a pass rush threat. Just half a sack in 5 seasons.

Depth piece more than anything else, they have Lott coming back along with Jones to start. The past two super Bowl winners had a lot of depth along the defensive line, so when they subbed out, there was not a huge drop off, KC is just trying to match what both the Eagles and Seahawks have been doing.

Linderbaum is signing with Raiders, he was one of the highest ranked FA on the market, 3 years $81 million with $60 million guaranteed. If they get their QB this draft and then add more pieces on offense, another WR and a lineman or two, their offense should be decent in a few years. It's the Raiders and they will screw it up, but Linderbaum is a great signing for them, and hurts the Ravens, which is even better.

Will the last starting Chiefs secondary player to leave please turn out the lights.

We got some work to do in the draft unless Spags feels really good about the youngsters on the roster.

Saints signed Etienne so going to be interesting to see who takes Love now that 2 teams that were possibly interested have gone the free agent route to fill their RB need.
