NFL: Kansas City Chiefs Thread

Yay, I guess. The bigger question is, how good is he at catching passes.
Yeah, I didn't think the Lions game helped Jones much from a leverage standpoint. The D looked fine without him. The WR corps trying to carry the load without Kelce however, woof.

Is it just a one year rework for this year or is it a one year extension and he’s good for this year and next now?
Sounds like a one year rework. Free agent or franchise tagged after this season.

I would NOT re-sign him for anything over $27 million per year, and I would be hesitant to at that price.

I think the edge rushers, plus Omenihu and Danna, will be fine moving forward.

I would much rather sign a true #1 WR to that money over a DT. Any DT. Especially with Kelce's age.

Or Mike Evans to about $22 million per year for 3 years.

Since the Falcons refuse to use him, I want KC to trade for Kyle Pitts.

One team player makes a sacrifice for a different not-team player:

Thuney is not making any kind of sacrifice. He's not taking a pay cut. He's getting the exact same amount of money as he was previously. The restructuring is just an accounting technique by the Chief's front office to push his cap hit from this year to future years of the contract.

They started slow last year too. I think it takes Andy a few weeks to adjust to what the league has done to adjust to them. Probably gonna take Mahomes a bit to figure out this WR group also. Chris Jones is a MONSTER. I had this game as a loss coming ino the season. I'm think Doug Pederson is a hell of a coach and Lawrence is a top 5 QB imo.
